and the girl that was serving me started making converstion with one of her co workers. It wasnt the conversation as such that only peed me off - she was talking like ''Oi heyaaaa, ow ya been!!?'' (lowclass worker style).

I was basically standing there talking to her as well, making my booking while she was checking seat availibility.

I mean, how unprofessional is that? Does anyone else think so?

National Express has just got the thumbs down from me for having such slobbish workers.

No, she was talking to many of her co workers there - in actual presence. Probably talking to about 2/3 workers while I was making my booking.

another was ''hiyaaaa, why dint ya text me!!'' - talking like a complete slob, loudly in front of customers.

You should have politely told the girl to stop talking whilst she was dealing with you. Or you could have asked to see the manager. It's your right, afterall it's your money. I work in a department store and I HATE it if my colleagues talk to me whilst I'm serving customers. I always say, hold on til I finish serving. I don't like it as a customer so I don't see why I should do it as a worker. I have had complaints and I don't mind getting the manager down. It makes the customer feel better and that's what the manager is there for. I don't suck up to the customers because I get some really dodgy ones who are so rude but I try to do my job as professionally as I can.

Complaints weren't about me, you understand! I'm perfect!! HA HA!!

That soo annoys me too. Like when your queueing at the bank or the post office for ages and then, when it's your turn, they close the till. Then I really go off on a rant.

Don't think much of your comment re low class worker style though, naughty

I agree. That is completely unprofessional. Workplaces need to establish a "no talking to coworkers when dealing with customers" rule. Its a great solution to such an annoying problem.

It is rude and I can imagine that it would be annoying. I personally would probably not complain as it must be a fairly rubbish job to some extent; also customers CAN be very rude as well. I don't think it's much fun dealing with member's of the public. National Express should train their staff better - it ultimately their responsibility.

Well, years ago they had one in my local office - we used to send parcels on the coaches - who was one of the most beautiful women I'll ever see, anywhere. So I always think of her when someone says National Express. What about in the bank, when they're queue is out the door, and these old dears - usually - are telling the counter-staff all about what their kids have ben doing for the last five years? You're on your luch-break, just trying to bank a fricking cheque, and they are waffling for England! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!

Dear Sir or Madam

National Express and that of it's Management hold the legal right to employ those whom they so wish and it is not for any Member of the General Public to tell National Express who they have to employ, or not.

If for any reason of a legitimate reason you have any geniune cause of complaint against any National Express Employee, then you have the legal right to make your complaint in writing, to National Express at Birmingham.

National Express in your Telephone Directory will be only too pleased to give you the Address of there Complaint's Department situated in Birmingham.

Further to my answer, it seems to me that there are far too many people using there PC & The Internet in order to cause far too much trouble and to acquire information from the Internet User's to be passed on to other's for illgal purposes and cause trouble and therefore to all person's throughout the world, this must stop.

The Internet System is there to be used for legal purposes and not for that of causing trouble, or used in the commission of comitting any crime.

Doubt if the job requires brain surgeons so you will have to put up with the lower class workers and all that it brings when you buy your national express ticket,, but then you must be lower class to be travelling on a peasent carriage !
