well, he probably just wants his privacy and doesn't want to have to worry about someone coming in and bothering him. he could be "pleasuring himself," but not necessarily, either. try not to jump to conclusions too quickly.

It is still your house. If you want him to unlock the door say so. I have a son and I give him his privacy. I knock before entering. He never locks the door. Sometimes with the sounds that come from the computer I wish I could soundproof the room, or move it away from the house. Depends on what you have taught him. Children are a mirror of their parents. I trust my son implicitly. We had a nice little talk about the dos and don'ts of the computer. He has his own computer and I never check because I trust him. When the need is to lock the door then you have a problem.

Depending on how old he is would be how I'd answer this question: 1-5 years probably something he shouldn't 6-9 years probably something he shouldn't 10-14 privacy/phone-tv-video games-computer/ homework/ self enrichment 15-17 privacy/self enrichment/relaxation/homework/sleep/ probably something he shouldn't 18-21 sleep/self enrichment/relaxation/ reading/ phone-tv-video games-computer/homework. In all of these ages he might also want to get away from meddling parents

probably nothing out of the ordinary depending on his age if he is a teen he is getting into puberty probably have a dirty mag under the bed or on the phone talking to a girl chatting online with a girl if he has a computer in there could be just doing home work or maybe he justs wants to be alone, jacking off isnt out of the question either and if there isnt any signs of erratic behavior or drugs you should pobably give him his privacy.

You need to set a boombox outside his door, pop in "I Like to Move It" by Reel 2 Real, turn it all the way up, and mash the play button. Whatever he's doing in there, he'll be way too psychologically scarred to ever do it again, even with a real woman.

he's probably just realized he can lock it and wants to try it out and see if it really grants him any privacy. at 11 years old, the worst thing he could be doing in there is "discovering himself" so chill out. he's probably fine. why don't you just knock on the door and ask what he's up to?

Why do you allow him to lock his door ? There is no reason it should be locked. He can keep it closed and you can knock but why locked ? There cant be anything good going on. Take the lock off.

Mom, do you really want a answer to that. Give the boy some privacy. You know what he's doing in there.

i don't know. could be he just wants to be alone because 11 year olds just want their parents to leave them alone because they start to feel like their parents are nagging them all the time.
i think its just a phase. also ask him why he keeps locking his door. tell him that you are starting to get worried.
good luck
