There is no memtion in the sciptures of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil being an apple. That is just a made-up fairy tale. The sin was disobeying God. He clearly said not to touch or eat of the tree. There is evidence that the fruit of the tree was actally of sexual origin, thus the birth of Cain, whose geneology is not listed in Genesis as a son of Adam. (he is the son of Satan)

I believe that it was a test of who rules. Like everything in the world. Says: You will know for yourself good and bad.
Had nothing to do with the fruit of a tree. It was an act of disobedience. He became a snake, probably ate some and started talking. See, what it did for me a lowly snake? Just think what it could do for you? what a temtation.
Satan thought if she sinned against god, he would throw them away so to speak and he could be ruller.
Later he showed his intentions and those of his spirit friends.
Genesis 6: They came down from heaven and materialized into human bodies and took wives. They wanted to be men and have sex with women. They also wanted to rule.
Probably divideing up the world like they have today into nations and each taking rulership of the nations and fighting with each other by using humans as pawns. they don't care how many humans die. It is a game to them. They are spirit creatures who have no right to be here. Read REvalation 12: they were thrown out of heaven and down to our earth very mad.
Showed two opositing forces. Re 12:7 Micheal and his angels and satan and his angels. It is all about who Rules.

Eve ate from the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:17, 3:1ff). Before Eve knew the difference between good and evil, she couldn't be condemned for her sin, but after that she stood guilty of disobeying the will of Gog (Matthew 7:21).
The Bible doesn't describe it as an apple, but I suppose medieval painters needed to paint something.
Many people try to make Eve's sin something sexual; the Bible doesn't teach that.

It is written, that Eve was Tempted and Fell for Temptation and took from the Tree of Knowledge, the Fruit thereof, as St. Lucifer used the Serpents' form to speak to her. As gave this Fruit to Adam, whom ate of it also.
Of course, the Fruit from the Tree of Knowledge is never truly told to us what is was, or if such a tree even exist today. But, upon further reading, one will discover, that the Tree of Knowledge was hidden away and now guarded by an Angel. From this, one would take it, that if God has an Angel guarding this tree, then no other of it's kind exist within this world.
As such, an Apple must not had been the fruit, as we have them today.
The sin which condemned mankind? Temptation and the desires' to be like unto God themselves! Rebellion of God's own children against himself. Too which, God had just resolved one rebellion with St. Lucifer just to discover that here he was, causing further issue's and planting the "Seeds" of "Rebellion" against God himself.
This was the sin.

The sin was being disobedient and eating the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The bible doesn't state that
it was an apple or exactly what type of fruit it was. Thus the sin was in disobeying GOD, so they were kicked out of the garden before they could eat of the Tree of Life

The fruit is metaphorical and it has a sexual connotation ... eating from the forbidden tree ... Eve enjoyed something without giving consideration to the consequences (even though she knew better) ... sort of like, well, you know ... Play now, pay later ... 9 months later, in some cases. Don't forget that Adam & Eve supposedly were naked in this wonderful "garden" ... all by themselves with nobody else on Earth. Gee, nobody could possibly see them get up to any mischief, could they?

Whether it was an apple or a banana is completely irrelevant. The fact is, both Eve and Adam, used their free will to choose to sin against God. God told them they could have everything they always wanted....EXCEPT fruit from that one tree. All they had to do was show their appreciate to God for what they had by being obedient. Instead, they follow their own desires and what happens? They become imperfect, and as a result of their sin, they bring death and misery upon themselves and the rest of their offspring all the way to our day today.

The garden of eden story was plagiarized from the tale about the Anannaki on the tablets found in Sumerian. These people were in that region mining gold and used the humans there as slaves. In the original version, the snake was trying to help humanity. These Anannaki thought humans had sex too much instead of slaving away for them, thus the 'shame of sex' in the religions originating from the mid-east.
You can see how the early bible writers altered their own version to fit their desires.

The apple didnt exist. It was the fruit of the tree in the center of the garden containing the knowledge of good and evil.
Eve was decieved by the snake who told her that surely she would not die for eating the fruit. But it was spiritual death God was talking about, and subsequently the wages of sin are death, so eventually their physical bodies would perish.
Adam also ate the fruit, but i believe it was because Eve did, and they were one, he had to be with her to follow the commands of God (be fruitful and multiply fill the earth and subdue it) I believe he ate the fruit knowing that God would have to save them both, because he didnt know how to be separate from Eve.
Much like Abraham knew God would have to raise Issac from the dead since He told him to take him to the mount and sacrifice him.

Nope - no apple, it was the fruit of the tree of knowlege of good and evil.
Actually - God asked Adam if he had eaten from the tree (Gen 3:11) When God punished them, it was Adam he accused of the sin of eating the fruit. (Gen 3:17)
There is nothing in Genesis that says God told Eve not to eat from the tree - as a matter of fact, when Eve was talking to the serpant - she mistakenly said they were not to touch it.
God told Adam in Gen 2:16-17 that he is not to eat or he'll die - didn't tell him not to touch it. Also - if you continue to read it was AFTER that Eve was created.
