im on dexedrine ie dex-amphetamine at 200mg a day,40 pills is anybody else prescribed speed.....i dont know of many people,why so hard to get a dr to do this....?

maybe because health care costs are so high and malpractice is so prevelant and we have such a drug problem in this country and doctors forget about their oath and prescribe "street" drugs for profit. Maybe, just maybe thats what ruins it for people that really need it..BTW never heard of a "script" for speed....Is it to speed your metabolism? control diet? Sure there are more natural ways to do this. Ever heard the old saying "SPEED KILLS" both ways!

Your doctor should have told you why he or she was prescribing this medication for you.
Years ago, before it was considered unsafe and unhealthy, doctors used to prescribe low doses of amphetamine for obese patients. It helped them lose weight and still feel energetic.
Nowadays, doctors hardly ever prescribe this medication due to its dangerous side effects and its addictive nature.

It used to be prescribed to students as a study-aid and to overweight people as an appetite suppressant, but that practice has long since been stopped and it is illegal now, I think.
I've taken it lots of times recreationally but I don't know anyone who has had it prescribed to them I'm afraid.

Dextroamphetamine is a central nervous stimulant. It is NOT speed, but it's chemical make-up is structurally similar. It is usually perscribed for Narcolepsy, ADD, and other disorders...

You need to get away from that. I just did a search on that and you need to do better things for yourself. You can ruin your life and you are too nice and young to something like that to yourself.

its very addictive and people miss use them i used to be on speed for yrs not from Dr's lol but this guy used to and sell them on my other mate was put on them for asthma can i please ask why your on them??? sorry I'm nosey and wouldn't mind getting them (jokeing)
