a lot of people start to feel bad about themselves when they start comparing themselves to others. the key is to take those feelings and use them for motivation.

start working out; jogging, swimming, biking, dancing, whatever you like and you'll instantly feel more rejuvenated, inside and out. exercising will make your confidence soar and you'll be shedding pounds in the process.

start doing little things for yourself that you usually wouldn't take the time to do. stop for a cup of coffee with your best friend, go get your nails done, spend a whole day shopping...doing things that you like and enjoy will make you feel better about yourself too.

i had problems with confidence and my self image too, and these helped me tremendously. i don't want to write a whole essay, but i hope these tips help you too!

Try to learn or improve a skill in which you are good at, usually the feeling that you are good at something gives a lot of security and self-confidence.

However what will help the most is NOT WORRYING about you being good or appreciated by the rest. Unfortunately or not you'll notice that there is always somebody that is better than you, more popular or prettier. That can at times make your life miserable, but you'll end up seeing that it's ok, you are who you are. And let me tell you, when people see that you are ok with what you are, not trying to pretend something else, they really admire you and like you. The people that have more confidence are the ones that don't give a damn about what others think, look around and you'll see.
