We've fostered, we work with children every day, and we're saving up money to adopt from mexico and start the home study process. We're under the legal age (25) for mexico but we only have 2 years to go, it should take that long to save and complete the study.
why?

From what I understand, for every one baby, there are 40 more adopting couples or parents waiting to adopt a child. In general if you want to give your newborn up for adoption there is no problem at all, in fact it can be somewhat lucrative. Yes, older children and or problem children are somewhat more difficult.
As for myself I do plan to adopt but I am still trying to find my soul-mate. I believe a child will be vastly more functional if raised by both male and female energies. If I do not find my soul-mate in the next 10 years I will probably adopt anyway.

I have, a pretty little girl named Brittany.
Contrary to popular belief, there are not thousands of children waiting to be adopted; there are thousands of people wanting to adopt children. Most of the children in the foster care programs are not adopted because they are not eligible for adoption; either the state is trying to educate the parents or they are trying to get an absent father to sign over rights.

Prophetess
I do not see this as a blast to people that are pro-life and adopt, I see it as a good question to find out those that do not practice what they preach.
Thus far I see the count being zero.

We tried, but were told that there was a four year waiting list before we could even be put on a list.
So, we looked for foriegn adoptions. It was soooo expensive, and there were no promises..
We were also told that we were on the older side, and many adoption agencies wouldn't accept us.
Basically, there aren't enough single mom's out there who are willing to give their children up for adoption.

Those sorts are "pro-life" in the least or they'd be anti-war and anti-death penalty too. There's 100,000+ children awaiting adopting in the US. You'll hear "too expensive" etc etc but they sure rather spend time outside of abortion clinics and on false websites than to fix the adoption problem.

Good question. I haven't because I don't have the income to support myself most of the time, but I certainly would consider it if I were able. I think more people who are able should. There are so many children who need homes, and if there were more people willing to take them, there wouldn't be the need for so many abortions.

Pro life, who isn't pro life? You don't need to be mother Teresa to know what is wrong or right. Many women who have aborted fetus's live with the pain of that decision for the rest of their lives, it's not just the baby we care about you know. I would rather have the chance of life than to have someone else take my life before I got a chance.

I am pro life, but we have children of our own.
I know that there is a HUGE list of good parents waiting to adopt.
If you are pregnant, avoid Planned Parenthood, all they preach is Abortion.
If you need help, contact your local Catholic Church even if you are not Catholic, they can help you with options that don't involve killing your Child.
Peace!

I like this, Steve...though I'm not a pro-lifer, it's a great question and I'm going to revisit it, because I really want to know myselfâºâââº
