Probably. My grandfather says that the cause of all wars is greed. Even the Crusades. ;D Either because they have stock or Boeing and McDonnel Douglas are funding them. In response to the "left-wing hater" comment. He wasn't saying anything rude... He just asked a question. You are the one who started calling him a nut case and telling him his question was stupid. And "our way of life is at stake". #1 - Our way of life isn't at stake. They're not telling us to convert to their religions. And people aren't going to convert to the religion of a terrorist because they're afraid of them. Jews didn't convert to Christianity in WWII because that's what Hitler wanted.. They may have pretended to. #2 - Who says our way of life is better?

Give me the chapter and verse in the Bible where it says that. It isn't there. That is a man-made proverb, and you are merely spouting off about things you either don't know or understand.

I don't own any stock. At all. I just happen to recognize when a threat is a threat. The war on terror is entirely legitimate, as our interests and our nation was attacked.

Most people don't realize this, but it is a religious war. Islam against western culture. In their minds, the entertainments we support, the immorality that we embrace, and the general wickedness that we in the U.S. seem to enjoy, are considered reprehensible in the eyes of tha average Muslim. Those who want to do something about it, engage in Jihad. That is what we've experienced since 1993, when the first attack on the World Trade Center happened. Oh, and what did Slick Willie do about it? Nothing. This only emboldened them to try again and again.

Btw, McDonnel Douglas IS owned by Boeing. Next time, get some facts before you spout off with your drivel.

Do the left wingers always assume the right is for war? WWI wilson Democrat WWII Roosevelt liberal Democrat, Vietnam Kennedy and Johnson escolated it. Gulf war almost unanimous approval by both parties Iraq invasion almost Unanimous approval by both parties. Is it only liberals who don't understand that our way of life is at stake here in the war against terrorism or would they all just rather convert to Islam as long as the US gets blamed for all the worlds problems? Oh and by the way the richest congressman happen to be Democrats like John Kerry and Ted Kennedy to name just 2.

For your info, McDonnel Douglas is no more. Boeing bought them out. Second of all, right-wingers are about action. Left-wingers are about cowardice. Take your pick.

Boeing merged with McDonnell Douglas several years ago. It is all Boeing now.

The "right wingers" are interested in defending our national interests against an enemy who believes his religion commands him to kill or subjugate you and me.

The Bible also says "To every thing there is a season....a time of war...a time of peace".

Absolutely....I own a lot of it. I also support bombing civilian areas as my portfolio is heavy in pediatric medical supplies. Haven't been able to get them to do anything for my chemical stocks lately though...I'll have to call Rumsfeld on monday.

Have you ever really spent time trying to do a rational evaluation of the world situation? Do you truly believe the current administration is that evil?

In a way yes. They call for war for a lot of reasons. Sometimes they honestly feel that it's the morally right thing to do. Other times they want to gain access to oil, territory, or to maintain what they perceive as the American empire (as Rumsfeild and Cheney do). What you're talking about specifically goes beyond them owning stock in the companies.

In America there's what's called the "military-industrial complex". It really began under Eisenhower when America launched itself into a state of everlasting war (via the Cold war). Kennedy later began moving more and more of the work that was typically done by the military (for example the manufacture of ammunition) to the private sector (civilian companies). More recently under George H.W. Bush we began to employ civilians in the military to do jobs like prepare food (Sodexo owned by Cheney handles this) and other tasks. This means that corporations have a great vested interest in ensuring that America is at war (war for them means more profits). These companies contribute large amounts of money to political campaigns (of both parties) and also launch political action of their own to ensure that America is in a state of constant war (the new war on Terrorism replacing the old Cold war).

I highly recommend you watch "Why we fight" if you want more information on the topic, last I check it was available via Goggle video (video.google.com).

Do the left-wing nutcases ask stupid questions because their hearts are full of nothing but hatred?
