Are you talking about canned tuna or fresh from the water tuna. In either case absolutely not. Tuna, once out of the can should be consumed as soon as possible where as fresh tuna should not smell fishy at all. Believe it or not fresh fish should have a clean smell to it, similar to the way the lake, ocean smells if you know what I mean. You know when you're coming close to the water it has this distinct smell. It smells really fresh, this is what fresh fish should smell like.

well now that depends where the tuna smell eminates from. if you are in bed with your girlfriend say for instance...and you smell any kind of tuna...i have to say don't eat it. now if you smell tuna in the can as well? dang! re think the relationship.

Well, I think it always smells strong. But if it smells worse than when you first bought it than throw it out.
