Days or months after what? Puppies need vaccines, worming, etc.. every 2-3 weeks from age 8 weeks until 16 weeks. Adult dogs need vaccines once a year. Some states give rabies every 3. After an adult dog has had 3 sets of adult dhlpp/dhpp it really doesn't need it but every 3 years. This is the new protocol from the DVM but a lot of vets still do it yearly just to get your money.

Puppies from age 8 weeks to 16-20 weeks need several shots. Two dewormers and then a series of puppy shots (usually 3). I don't believe a dog get's it's rabies shot until it is a year old. You should really call your local vet and set up a schedule for your puppies routine check ups.

Yearly Vaccines for Rabies. You should take ur dog monthly for nail clipping and check ups..u can do this monthly or every 2 months. Vaccine Injections are Yearly things. Your vet should be sending u postcard to tell when its time for a vaccine anyways!!
Its the Vets reponsibility to tell u when its time for injections!!

Our puppy shot schedule is 6wks, 9 wks, 12wks, 16 weeks for the combo shot. We start worming them at 2 weeks and once a week or every 2 weeks after that. Rabies shot is given in our state(TN) at 3 months, but may differ in other states.

I would take it as soon as you get it. Unless you find out that it has already had them. It is very important that you take care of this. Unless you have a dog that had puppies...then you should take it in to see the vet around 6-8 weeks of age.
