Only in America would people be so materialistic to think that a church is something physical such as a building or a corporation.

The fourth commandment indicates we should rest on the Sabbath. The Sabbath is, for the most part, Saturday. Why? Because Saturday is the 7th day of the week, the day God rested from re-creating the earth.

Where is the church? Where is the temple?

If you have the Spirit of God in you then you ARE the temple of God (1 Corinthians 3:16).

And Christ, the Son of man, is lord of the Sabbath (Matthew 12:8, Mark 2:28, Luke 6:5).

Tecnically saturday is suppose to be the sabbath, not sunday, according to what I'm told. However I think the church is more concerned about whether you go and give a donation than Jesus is. Jesus nor God need money, and your soul can be just as good whether you are in church or not. It's just a meeting place for people who think alike, sort of like going to the same place every week to get together with friends and watch a movie. It's social contact.

If you're Catholic, you can attend Mass on Saturday as a part of your Sunday obligation.

Your soul is precious. Jesus wants to check on it now and then, It's sort of like going to the doctor- to see how "well" you are.
Be a decent person, treat everyone as you would want to be treated and check in with Jesus/God now and then. It can be Sunday, Monday or whenever.

Different denominations meet for church on different days. Jesus wants your heart to be for Him EVERY day - not just when you're in a church building. Society has gotten into a routine of being Sunday morning christians and it really bothers me! We should be the same on Sunday (or whenever we are in church) as we are every other day - on our jobs, in our community, in our cars - we are Christians where ever we go and what ever we do, and we are either shining our lights for everyone to see, or we are hiding it so no one even knows we are a Christian to begin with. What a shame! Jesus wants your precious soul, you are right, and He wants you to belong to Him, Do you?

The bible doesn't even speak of Sunday being a day of rest or a church going day. The ten commandments say Sabbath is the day. and why should only that one be changed and considered for Jews, or are the 9 other ones just only for Jews as well and not for Christians, so to speak.
Jesus and God don't care whether you attend church or not, it being focused on Him that counts.

The main point is the care and nurturing of your soul. How do you do that? One way is seeking knowledge, truth, and practicing being a loving person, and being thankful for all the beautiful things in your life... and oh, yeah, spend some time with your creator. How do you do that? And does it help to organize it? Worship with other believers who can encourage your spiritual growth? If it seems that Sunday worship is a bit arbitrary then at least admit the organization of a day of worship makes things convenient.

He wants you as a full time christian and not a part time one. You can serve Him out side of church as well, by sharing his word with others and introducing him to the people who do not know Him. Sunday or the Sabbath is the day God wants us to keep holy after we have worked for 6 days.

Jesus wants us to fellowship with other Christians and that is where most of them are on Sundays.

Many cults worship on Saturday's with the seventh day adventists being the largest. Jews worship on Saturdays because they missed Christ and are worshiping in the old testament way.

Jesus wants to have a direct one to one talk to you every single day. Not only on Sunday! The world thinks one day a week for God. Well, I am here to tell you 24/7 is what God wants and nothing less. If your time is too full for God - then what if God said to you the following....."Excuse me, I am too busy for you and at this time on this day is when I want to talk to you."

That is a comment of the world and is wrong, God wants to be with you all the time every single day forever. Your relationship will grow stronger and better when you are with Him all the time.
