Give her a glucosamine-chondroitant product. Try to get one with MSM, if you can't find one buy it separately and add it. You can get dog asperin at pet supply stores too. I use them on my poodle.

You haven't given too many specifics (i.e. age of dog, how long has she been limping etc.) so it's hard to tell. If the vet has given painkillers that should be enough (although I agree that if this persists an orthopedic specialist is in order). Did you adopt your grey through an adoption organization? A local group would have many grey-savvy people on call that might be able to meet with you and give you some hands on advice. Even if you didn't adopt through a local group it might not be a bad idea to contact one and ask for help. Greyhound adoption really brings you into a community and there are a lot of resources available. Check http://www.greyhoundpets.org and see if there are groups in your area.

I also agree you should look into a food supplement. You may want to check with your vet and see if they recommend a particular mix, there are a lot available (Doctors Foster & Smith carries quite a few).

Wrap her leg with a heating pad while she laying next to you and make her keep it on for about 15 minutes set heat to medium. Then gently rub the entire leg for a few minutes several times a day.
Call your vet and find out what dosage of glucosomine/chrondroitin would be most effective for her weight and also the dosage of a regular old aspirin she'll need and follow those directions. If the limp continues I'd think about having the leg x-rayed.In the mean-time let her do what she will and when she gets tired let her rest but keep in mind that exercise is still important.
As a sufferer of arthritis myself and the owner of a dog with it in hips and one front leg I can tell you that if exercise stops the joints stiffen and it hurts worse when it's started up again.Keep the joints loose and the limp will go away sooner. You also might think about putting your dog in water.Live close to a river where she can romp in the water? The water will help hold her weight so it's not all on the joint. And try to keep her from jumping cos that puts half of her weight on a sore joint.
If there's swelling put an ice pack on it.

Depending upon how long this has been going on it could be a simple pulled muscle right up to something more severe like a hair line fracture. Did the vet give rimadyl? If so be sure to give it with food. If you haven't tried buffered aspirin yet ask your vet about giving that INSTEAD of rimadyl. Not both. Rimadyl puts a strain on the liver. It's not something to be given long term. Aspirin is a blood thinner and should only be given when needed. Obviously neither of these are good for the dog but one is less dangerous than the other. Steroids you really don't want to have to start. If it doesn't resolve in 2 weeks please see an orthopedic specialist for dogs. I worked for one for 2 years. You'd be surprised how much more they know that small animal vets that don't specialize.

I bet that she just sprained it. My dog did that and walked on a limp for a couple days, but them it stopped. If it lasts a week, I would get worried. But if nothing else happens, she'll be fine.
