Yeaaah...it is...when u were younger, it was easy to hang out with your sister....but as she gets older, she leaves u behind because she gets caught up with the people her own age. She feels more "in place" because they are her peers and they go through the same things. This is very normal...it happens to many people...including mee...as you get older also, you will feel more right hanging out with people your own age. Your older sister forgets you because she doesn't think its right if someone younger is with her. This is just temporary. She isnt thinking of your feelings but talk to her about this. I know how you feel. Try making friends with people your own age....rather than your sis. Email me if u want...:)

Go find some of your own friends. Your sister won't always be with you your entire life! What she did is mean, but maybe she needs to get away from the family, talk, and have a good time with someone she doesn't live with. You seem like a smart and fun girl, I'm sure you'll have fun with or without your sister there!

It is completely normal to feel this way and to have this happen. My older sister always promised me things and would never take me anywhere even though I begged her. She always left me out and her friends liked me too! Don't worry as you guys get older you will hang out more. I am 25 and my sister is 31 and we hang out allot now.

Yes, it's normal to feel like garbage. What you need to do, however, is get your own set of friends and have all of you do your own things. Regardless of how much her friends like you, at the end of the day - they are HER friends, not yours.

This is normal behavior for older sisters. Remind her that she invited you to go. Then be ready to leave when it's time to go and then just go with them. If you get left behind don't feel bad. Be a little more agressive (but polite) about leaving with them.

Yep, sorry. Your sister has her own friends and life and although it's sad she doesn't want to hang with you, it's normal. Find a tight group of gals your own age and concentrate on them. Don't let your sister make you feel bad. You're cool, she's not.

It is.She is disregarding your feelings, and that hurts. You should find your own friends to hang out with.Whenever she tells you that she is going to do something, take it as just words and don't get your hopes up,.If she does it,then you'll be pleasantly surprised,if she doesn't you won't be terribly disappointed.Find something else to do with your time and make yourself unavailable to her.She will eventually begin to miss you and put forth a real effort to spend time with you.

she cant be herself with you there,,,you are a sibling and are litterally stepping on her toes,,she will be under preasure not to say anything incase you say something to embarras her,,she cant be 'cool' while you are there,,,its like her tagging along with your friends and her saying something you would rather them not hear,or her jokes make you cringe,,she does love you but needs her own identity, and for thet she needs no family there.

Find some new friends to hang out with. Don't ask your sister to hang out.
