What is the best, fastest and cheap way to get to Capri from Rome?

Take the train to Napoli Centrale station. It's about three hours. From there, you can walk, bus or taxi to Beverello Port. On foot it's about twenty minutes. At the port, there are several companies that connect Naples and Capri. The fastest boats are hydrofoils- they'll get you to Capri in about forty minutes. I traveled around the Amalfi Coast on the Metro del Mare system- I'll link to their page below. Their boats are slightly slower, but also cheaper.
