marriages are meant to be once in lifetime for a lifetime!
they were made to be following this rule, when this social custom came into existence. To be able to fulfil this definition, one needs a whole hearted dedication, true love...understanding...tons of patience and sacrifice!
Classifying and comparing marriages as "love or arranged"isn't fair at all.....what should be the backbone of any marriage is no matter how you two approached to tie the knot....the vows and promises of a marriage should be followed....no matter if its an arranged or a love marriage!

From the two choices you gave I would say it could be both but the Arranged Marriage is someone deciding for you and since that custom usually starts by parents arranging it for you as a child it happens over a long period of time but they may not be together for any length time. The love marriage sounds more like a marriage that would last for a long time because you love each other more everyday making it a good thing that out lasts anything. If you love someone you trust each other unconditionally and I believe that makes it a long lasting marriage.

Lot of young people think they are in love and get married then they find out the bad points and seems like their love has gone away. But they never felt love in the first place it was just infatuation. "I am not that old i heard it in some movie long time ago".
But thing with arranged marriage is, It is more likely to last, as if you split up there will be too much hoopla with the families and sometimes there are close families marriages, so husband wife put more effort into it to save it so lasts longer.
In real life i have seen few love marriages having major problems but not a arranged one.

There is no set formula for which marriage will last longer. Arranged marriages have a longer history, but marriages based on love have been around for a while. So if you want to do a poll or survey and ask people to respond as to whether they are married and what type of marriage they have and if they are still married or contemplating divorce you might find something.

I would have to say love marriages. I'm married and I would never marry someone I didn't know. I think that is so weird, now I'm not saying it doesn't work cause there may be people I haven't meet before that have had an arranged marriage and are now very happy. But all I'm saying is it wouldn't work for me I can't sleep in the same bed and make love to a stranger.

Marriage in itself is a wonderful experience and by that i dont mean its all hunky dory...And the sucess of a marriage does not depend on whether it is arranged or love. It all depends on the individuals involved in that relationship. In any relationship there are a lot of factors that will lead to the success or failure of that relationship. And it is how you manage these factors that will determine the future of a relationship. If everyone can jus understand and accept the fact that a relationship is between two individuals with unique personalities and learn to live with trust, adjustments, and without having sky high expectations any relationship will work. Communication....be it the love or the problems you have with the other person... has to always be top priority. Never take the other person for granted.

Hi i have started to believe that they are made in heaven and arranged marriages can be a disaster as mine. The marriage was emotionally nonexistent the moment i met my ex on the wedding night itself (for all the rubbish and humiliation he hurled at me !)So go ahead for a love marriage as at least you will have the satisfaction to know that whatever the results the decisions t were yours and nobody else had played with your life .You wont be able to blame anyone and yes all responsibility becomes yours too.For me the vote is for love marriage and yes if the families also accept then it IS THE best

Both works well under normal circumstances!! Hope you know the only difference in these two are:
In arranged marriage your nuptials have been arranged by someone else and then you meet, marry & love each other
In love marraiges, you both meet eachother, pressurize your people to accept you both and then love each other.
So the only thing that matters is loving each other!!
I have a feeling that arranged marriages will have little in-law rifts than love marraiges. I dont know for sure!!

both have got their own advantages & disadvantages. in arranged marriages u have solid support from both thhe families which is very important for our married family life. love marriage with the consent of your parents is also good,. u have both. love marriage without your elder's consent has its ups & downs. love is not the only thing on which a marriage survives. once u start facing the married life in real sense u will know the difficulties. your love should be strong enough to overcome all these difficulties. so, according to me 1. go in for arranged marriage & then start loving your spouse. 2. love somebody, but see that your parents approve of your love. take them to your confidence. they will support you unconditionally.& see that your marriage will become successful. it depends on the couple how they adjust to each other's way of life. how much they love each other.
