just make sure when you scan your computer for virues that you scan it in the safe mode, and also turn off the system restore (otherwise, the viruses will keep repeating its self).
and AVG is a free anti-firus, so u don't have to use trials anymore, just go to www.majorgeeks.com and download it, good luck.

There are several. But you must clean the computer before you can correctly install a scanner. Go to:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com
and use their free scanner.
Then go to:
http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php
Download the free virus scanner and install it.
I currently have three "virus" files on my computer. They are not "real" in the sense that I know they are there and I put them there. One is a remote control utility like pcAnywhere that "looks" like a virus. If I had NOT installed this myself I'd be afraid of finding it on my computer. The other two are joke viruses. I put these on other computers as pranks. One makes the computer burp at random intervals (via the soundcard). Another does exactly the same thing but the gas is emitted from the opposite end of the digestive tract.
How do I know this? My virus scanner alerted me to this when I got on my computer this morning. Why did it do this? Because I don't want to get a computer filled with viruses!
Two other programs you may want to consider getting:
Ad Aware
Spybot Search and Destroy

Hey,
I recommend to clean up the register in order to improve your pc performances and get rid of malwares. A good program you can use is CCleaner http://bitly.com/1sW2kH5
It works like a charm.

if you have the recovery disks that came with your computer pop those in and it will wipe your ard drive clean and it kills all the virusses. the bad part is though that it deletes all the stuff you have on your computer so i would back up all your stuff first on CDs .

they have a free online scan and I think it is one of the best I have used. The only downfall is you have to go to it every time you want to scan.
