Currently the manufacturers have built too many and are soon to be in a position to have to lower their inventory. Their future sales predictions were off. Just keep looking because by the end of the year sales need to be increased, lower inventory, just to be able to report how well they did for the year to investors. I bought mine at Fry's Electronics but you have not stated where you live unless you pay shipping.

I would recommend getting at a place that offers a 30 day price guarantee like best Buy or Circuit City so that when it goes on sale a week after or 29 days after you buy it you can go back to the store and request the better price.

Wait until November after electronics show in Vegas, prices go down on in stock models. Buy it someplace local where you can get extended warranty. These are new and no service records yet. Besides, good dealer, in town will have TV and warranty reasonable.
