I don't know what ignorant Christian told you this. hahahah

Jesus Christ preached TRUTH.

Jesus Christ did not say: "Go forth unto all nations and preach peace". He didn't even say: preach love.

He explicitly, said "Preach the Gospel". for a reason.

Some of the disciples of Jesus, including the Apostle Simon the Zealot (or the Patriot) were affiliated with the Jewish freedom fighters of the time. The Gospels nowhere suggest that Jesus told Simon or anyone else to stop being a Zealot. Obviously Jesus accepted this response to Roman aggression, though he did mourn the painful results of the conflict; He predicted the destruction of the Temple as a result of Roman repression.

Yes Jesus preached peace.

You have not met many Christians.
The ones you know only believe in the effectiveness of force?

I really doubt your question is an honest sincere view of Christianity.

God Bless and get out and meet more people.

Come on now. Look at Christians and Muslims. Which one of them supports violence. The only reason why Christians have to use force is because terrorists from Muslim countries are picking on us all the time. If they leave us alone, we have no problem with peace.

Well it is supposed to be about peach but since they have to obey the priests and the priests keep telling them they are "at war" with the non-believers they will constantly be in a fight...I really don't think they would know how to be at peace..generally speaking of course since not all Christians are belligerent

Because most preachers in the church seek self gain. They are spoken of many times in the Bible. For example: Mat 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Don't take for granted what churches preach to you. Research the Bible yourself and talk to Jesus yourself.

Because of the way they are taught. They're taught to fear through submission: The Devil, Sin, God's wrath, going to Hell after death. They think the rest of the world is out to get them. You get in a defensive frame of mind when you're taught that way. Pity them.
