The center of a peach is called the Pit. Its actually a seed that then makes the new peach tree. Plant one and grow your own peaches in a few years. I actually did that once. Had some nice white peaches from that tree.

its the seed, but theres poison inside. dont try to eat that thing, youll get sick and you might die. im dead freaking serious when i say this, no messing around.
