If your mother fell down the steps, and she had a broken neck, would you pray for her, or get he to a hospital? There are no theists in foxholes. When it comes down to it, science beats out religion in my book. How about you? She will die with no help. Will you let god help, or a doctor? You have time to call god with a prayer, or a doctor with the phone. Who will help you? Who do you turn to.
Medicine or prayer?
Religion or science?
God or 911?
Time for one call.
Who do you pick?

Congradulations. You are the stupidest person on the planet. Not only did that have nothing to do with the question, but made no sense. A, if you die, you die, I would not pray, but go to the doctor. But most of all, YOU DON'T DO DRIVE BY'S WITH A GUN LIKE THAT.

The answer is obvious to everyone. Even the most hard core religious person is going to call 911! They will do their praying while science is saving her life. Then they will say god answered their prays and saved her life. You can't win a science vs religion battle with a christian. They will say that god guide the hand of science. That's the amazing thing about a made up entity, he can be any where and do anything.

This is an unintelligent question and I can tell your not a true believer. First of all who do you think allowed that doctor to even breath much less find out the things that doctors have discovered. My mother for your information had cancer when I was a child. She would not go to the doctor she was about to die it was eating up her breast and hands to where she had to wear bandages . My Dad was not a believer and he said she was basically crazy and he would talk bad of her decision. All she did was pray and trust that God is indeed who he said he is.(notice I used present tense because he is still this god.) One Day she took the bandages off and she was healed. her faith had made her whole till this day my dad still can't figure it out and he will bash her beliefs until it comes to how she was cured. He has no explaination. The "Doctors who told her she had a short time to live couldn't do anything but be amazed. Have you ever heard some doctors say we just don't know whats wrong or we don't know how this or that was cured or even say someone was not supposed to survive something according to their(doctors) knowledge. I suggest you open your mind because sometimes God's blessings and miricles are already evident in your very own life but you choose to give his glory to a man or woman by trying to have an answer for everything. I wonder how someone like you would explain situations like my mothers.

Again, I think I would call 911-- and that's what my mom would tell me to do (if she could talk). If I was praying to God instead and not calling for 911, then she would scream at me (if she could). And I really do think that "Joe C" is right. If I was very religious, I would still call 911. (But I'm not saying all of them are not going to pray to God). Oh yeah, and I would first scream for help to God and then call 911, and then when my mom is in the hospital, then I would thank God over and over again, then when she comes back home, I will thank him again.

God helps those who helps themselves.
You would call 9-11, then pray !
So, BOTH!
You DO NOT move her, as that could cause more damage, but while you're calling 9-11, you pray like you never have before !
And continue!
Don't EVEN try to tell me God doesn't answer prayers!!!!!!!
If that were so, I would not be walking today ( according to the doctor that I was taken to immediately after breaking my back in a horse riding accident )
After reading your edit, you have a dead Mom on your hands!
You have to think quicker than that!
" OH YE OF LITTLE FAITH "

What? Of course, you'll rush her to the hospital or call for an ambulance, any sane people will do that and along the way you'll pray hard, and pray that broken neck could be cure by modern Medicine. Have faith in God and hope the doctors will do their best. It goes hand in hand.

This type of "one or the other" thinking is exactly what is wrong with the world today. Things aren't that simplistic, nor do they have to be.
There is no reason why you couldn't call 911, and then pray while administering first aid. There is nothing that would prevent you from praying while riding in the ambulance to the hospital, or praying while the doctors work on her.
In this rather simplistic and childish example, you could have your cake and eat it too.
Nice try, but your question doesn't prove anything.

I can call 911 and still pray at the same time. Amazing, isn't it, how we are able to multi-task?! Where do you get the idea that Christians are feeble beings who just pray all the time and never do anything else to help those in need? Sheesh. Oh, and science only goes so far before God steps in. Miracles, buddy. They're all around you.

You are so wrong You surely no nothing of God. Since He is all knowing and omnipresence You do not need to call God . You can a pray while waiting for the phone to connect to 911 . It will take longer for the ambulance to get there than it will take for 10,000 prayers to reach GOD. Heck it will take longer for the phone to connect to 911 than it will take for 1000 prayers to get to GOD. I feel bad for those who know nothing of God yet they Mock those of us who do and even God Himself. I guess maybe it is true that ignorance is bliss and I thank God that I am not ignorant.

Hmmm...
FIRST...I would pray...
Second... I would give her a blessing...
Third... I would call 911... in order for my mother to get the help that God would send for her... a doctor would be waiting for her with the proper mental capabilities and the guidance of the Holy Ghost to steady the hands and clear the mind...
I think you mistake the purpose of science and how it grows so fast.

As an occultist I would like to explain this in a method understandable to everyone. I would think that God being a rather smart individual puts a lot of his faith into the people of science. After all it only makes sense seeing he oversees such expenditures of the human mind. It would then of course be a very wise choice to trust the doctors that God him or herself chose (aka the staff on call).
I bet God appreciates a bit of reason amongst his followers. Trusting God to do everything is only going to irratate him. Its like taking out the trash every single day, why do it yourself when you can tell your children to take care of it? Despite being able to do it yourself God is not going to take care of everything for us. It is our responsibility to help take care of our brothers and sisters.
Hails to the children,
Silence
ps... The above is in honor of the Christians. They often say to be the Children of God and act accordingly. I am honored to know several of them.
