Who would you save...?

... if you could save ONLY one? Your child or your husband/wife?

I think my wife would understand my saving our child, just as I would understand her making a similar decision.

The child. You have a stronger commitment as a parent to saving your child, not your spouse. Both you and your spouse have that responsibility. It is their job to give their lives to save the child. Until they are 18.

I don't have a husband or a child, but although I understand that parents have huge love for their child, what about the spouse, without then the child wouldn't be there?! Also i guess my spouse if i had one would want me to save our child, but what i don't understand is, it appears that parents have much more love of a different kind towards their offspring(s) than their spouse, why? I can understand this abit if the child is young but what if they are an adult, would you still save your offspring then or your spouse? For me it's really difficult to answer.

I would save the child. That IS a parent's duty. Even if it cost my own life.

if i had a child i would pick the child in one second... then i would die by going back and getting my husband
