I have been dating this guy and we spent a weekend together at a hotel. We have discussed our HIV status and decided that condom would not be used every time. Two days after the weekend I felt sore in vaginal area and rushed to the doctor, who diagnosed a yeastlike infection. I got medication and a prescription for him. I invited him over and within the visit I informed him of the happenings. He said he was not having a problem. This was very embarrassing as it was our first encounter. I even took the liberty of doing another HIV test to show I was free.
He hasnt spoken to me in two days. I dont know what to think. Should I have treated myself secretly? did I do the right thing? Would you change your mind? Why hasnt he called?

At the very least you were responsible in telling him and if he was a mature guy who was really in to you he would appreciate this. But from a guy.... But why the heck did you tell him if it was only a yeast infection? Go out and get the prescriptions for him? More talk about HIV after that? Again admirable on your part but in guy land this is what I think he feels. To much talk about disease and he probably feels like an idiot for not sticking with the condoms everytime. To just run out and get the stuff seems like you are all too familiar with having a problem. Now that raises mental doubt about ever doing it again as it will always be in the back of his mind. If he was really in to you, you would have talked, figured out that it was really nothing and gone from there. So expect that it is over and sorry to say because you seem sincere and nice. He might just need some time to process this as it would be an utter shock for most guys to deal with. I for one would take it as you were thinking of my well being but I can see where it could be messed up. If he calls after thinking about this, great. If not he is not the one.

That guy is stupid. You are doing all the responsible things by getting an HIV test and sharing the results with him. He should be glad you are that up front and honest with him about everything. He got scared and that is why he has not called you back. Do not call him again or try to contact him in anyway. I am guessing he is not going to try to contact you again. Leave it alone; move on. I am sure it hurts you very much; it would hurt me too. Sometimes guys have a hard time seeing a good thing when it is right in front of them! Move on so you can find a guy who will appreciated you for who you are. That guy you were with is a pus*sy!

Yes you did the right thing in telling him. You're one of the few honest people left out there. Two days isn't a long time not to call you. But if it goes on and he totally dismisses you,he's either guilty of having something to hide, or thinks you are, or he just wasn't that invested in the relationship in the first place. In any case, he's not worth hanging onto if he's going to treat you that way. Count yourself lucky you found out early and cut him loose.

You did the right thing. Honestly, perhaps HE was the carrier of the infection, he passed something onto YOU. This thing showed up after you were with him, would have been shady if you had something before and didn't tell him.

He's probably feels uncomfortable...but he if he really likes you then he won't care. You should tell him that u dont hav HIV just somethin else (which u should find out what it is) It's good u told him otherwise if he found out himself he might have thought u were dishonest!...:-/

i think he wuz the one who gave it to u. either he knew it or maybe he didnt but either way u were the one who got it. if he really loved u then he wuld be there for u and be caring. try talking it to, asking him wats wrong that he isnt telling u cuz it seems as if hes hiding something from u cuz y else wuld he not talk to u for 2 days wen im guessing normally he does.

a yeast infection is NOT a STD so that';s just silly of him to think that it's female thing look it up at www.yeastinfection.com so call him and tell him it's not a STD it's just something females have and it has nothing to do with him or you it just happens sometimes

yes you did the right hing you talked to him about it and were honest maybe he didnt know he was carrying it and got kind of frekeed talk to him and tell him what went wrong last time you talked to him

He might have given you the yeast infection! Guys can carry it and have no symptoms at all!!
