i need a dvice ladies my mom says since im having sex i should be put on birth control but i hate the fact that a doctor will be looking down there, what do i do?

Suck it up, its not that bad, would you rather a doctor look down there 1 time a year or get pregnant and have a few doctors look at least once a month?

You should get on birth control. When I was a teenager my parents made me get on birth control as well. It better to be safe then get pregnant and be a teen mom. They'll only have to look down there once a year. I was on the depo when I was a teenager and ya only got get that every 3 months so ya don't have to worry about it as much as some birth controls. Now I'm older and just had my 1st child and married and am on the mirena and I love it. The mirena I like better then the shot. But I don't think your doctor would let you get the mirena. But if so then it last for 5 years. GOOD LUCK! and remember birth control doesn't stop STD's so use a condom

its really up to you im a teen mom im 19 i have been with my fiancee for 4 yrs and i didnt go on it but we decided we wanted a baby (5 months now had him when i was 18) unlike what mommy of 2 said i was smart about it. if your young and think your going to have unpertected sex then go on the pill the so called pull out method doesnt work so dont let anyone tell you otherwise, but your parents are just looking out for you cause they know if they tell you not to have sex your just gonna either listen or sneak around behind their backs. but when they check you for the pill (at least a year ago they did i dont know if they do know) its really quick and they dont make it akward. i was nervous to when they had to do a pap smear when i was 3 months pregnent (normal thing you have to do when your pregnant) but the doctor was quick and didnt make me feel uncomfterable. but like i said your the only one who knows what your going to do. o yea and the shot has some risks than the pill since sometimes in somepeople you dont get your period and everywoman would love that but your body needs to clean it self and not every birth control is effective my friend was on the shot and she still got pregnant same with the pill soeven if you go on the pill still use condoms..

need to take responsibility girl ;) If you've got a guy going "down there" you should be mature enough to just suck it up and get your annual physical. In all honesty, no woman likes it...but we've gotta do it if we care about our bodies.
sorry to be blunt, but I'm trying to help you :)
It's not all that bad, really. My first physical was with an older doctor. I felt so gross when it was going on, but the nurse was in the room (so you feel more comfortable and so you don't accuse the doctor of anything negative...it's also for your own protection)...now it's a breeze (uncomfortable, but I know i have to get it done).
Wait till you have children tho!! LOL :) You think a doctor looking "down there" is bad....;)

If you feel that you are old enough to have sex then you should be old enough to deal with what comes along with it.I do agree with your mother you should be put on BC so that you don't get pregnant, and don't listen to the person that said that you don't have to get checked because you definitely do and besides you should want to there are to many diseases in the world for you to get shy all of a sudden with the one person that can help you anyway.I'm pretty sure you have no problem letting the boys you are having sex with see it.

look you want the doctor to look down there you want to make sure you dont have any STD's like herpes clap or anything else. plus they have to make sure to check for cancers or anything wierd especialy if you are having sex. when you lay down on the table just pick a point in the room to focus on and think of something good like your favoirte song andin like 5 seconds it's over and you give some blood for test and thats that.
good luck and dont feel embaresed it's a part of life and just think if you get pregnant you will have to do this evrymonth and when you are having the baby they will be sticking there hands up there all all kinds of people will be looking up there.

If you can have sex and don't have a problem with it then don't have a problem with the doctor looking down there. If you are having sex and no bc you are going to end op prego's and then you will be checked down there all the time! Be responsible if you are going to have sex! We don't need any more teen moms because they weren't smart about it.

It's a normal part of being sexually active. Doctors recommend that when you become sexually active you should see your OB/GYN for an exam and each year after that. If something happens and you get an infection down there or get sick down there, how are you going to know what it is and how to fix it? Plus your mom has been there before, she's not going to make you do something that is harmful to you.

Go on birth control. You have no issues with having sex, you shouldn't have any issues with a doctor "looking down there".

i was the same when i first started with the doctors looking down there so my mom took me to a female doctor trust me its well a little more comfortable you need to go though its just scary the first time you go dont worry the next couple of times will be a breeze.take care of your self mom is right.sorry to say.
