I've leased a '96 Ford Probe and '98 Ford Explorer and owned a 2000 Taurus and currently a 2004 Freestar. All of them have been great cars. The Probe's only problem was my windshield cracked two different times and an emissions issue that they fixed right away under warranty. The Explorer was great - no problems. I loved my Taurus but now I have two kids so I traded it in for a minivan. In the 4 years I had the Taurus, I had to get two new tires and have the brakes worked on. I maintained it well - oil changes every 5000 miles, tire rotations every 10,000 and the other normal maintenance at 25,000 miles, etc. I think I had to take it in for some minor recall work. I can't remember what the issue was but Ford contacted me before I had a problem. I actually like the minivan much better than I thought I would. It has great pick-up. I used to work for Ford. I don't work there any more but I believe in the product and will continue to buy them.

They make the best sellling truck in the world.
The Ford F series. 29 years in a row the best sellling truck.
They are an American Company. The U.S auto industry and it's suppliers employ every one in five jobs in this country.
Toyota may build cars here, but that money goes to Japan.
Ford now has a 5 year or 60,000 mile warranty on 2006 Models.
They have the world's first hybrid SUV, the escape.
The latest J.D. Power reliability report shows Ford has improved the quality above industry standards. The J.D. Power new car survey show the latest car models, the Fusion, Milan and Zephyr
launched brand new with quality rivaling Toyota.
The new Mustang. The hottest sports car on the market today.
So much so, competitors must follow like GM's 2009 Camaro and Dodges 2007 Challenger.

Why buy a Ford? For the expression on the face of the other driver who just got his butt kicked by me and my Ford in the 1/4 mile. It is absolutely priceless.

Depending on the car, if you do like a certain model don't let the brand name bother you. Besides fords are not bad infact they are very convenient. Just look after the car and the car will definitely take care of you!!!

Because imports suck and other American cars are #2. Fords are easy to work on (not like imports, pull the engine to do a tune up.....WTF) The parts are made right here in the U.S. so they don't coast to much. They last for ever. I have a 1979 Mustang with the stock 2.3 l engine in it and it has over 200,000 miles.....The thing with Fords is that if you take care of them they'll take care of you.

Personal preference, current incentives, performance, financing. Whatever reason you want, it's your choice. Buy a ford or don't. No one is pointing a gun at you forcing you to buy a ford.

because they are a good car, decent spec levels they drive/handle well some of the slickest gearboxes you will come across and very little down time regardless of what the ford haters say.
ive run them for years, my next car will be another ford that will also will dish out huge cans of whoop *** to those 3 series drivers who take the badges off to hide the fact its an 1800cc
