I agree with the rest. But, having lice has nothing to do with class; lower or upper. It's just something that happends to the best of us. I remember having lice when I was about 11--I was mortified. I got it from someone else. We got cleaned up (and it was expensive) and naturally we didnt play with the kids that gave it to us because we were afraid we would get it too, and who wants to have their head 'dug' with that fine tooth comb everynite....NOT US!

well to teach a child to not play with someone because of something wrong is not a good idea .children could get lice at school you cant forbid them to go to school ( well unless you want to home school).maybe not have them play at their house have over to the back yard and teach the children not to share hats and combs and etc... myabe the friends you are referring to are getting it from another kid or from a school situation( daycare, babysitter etc..)i am sure after a while it does get expensive but think of your children also in the way they are loosing a friend over this.they arnt going to understand .maybe see that the kids parents know of your concern about the lice maybe they are poor and do not have the money to get the medicine to get rid of it see if there is a place that will help them .my kids play with a family that always get lice ( sometimes it just happens like that whether they are poor or rich) and my kids have never gotten it ( neither have my niece and nephew and they are related to the family)also look into your house make sure all the bedding and stuffed animals are cleaned and your cushioned furniture ( they lay on the couch and have their heads against the back of the chairs right).i will admit i am so far lucky enough to never had to deal with it and i have 4 kids from 3 to 15 yrs old.well i know this wasnt the answer you were looking for but good luck with it and i hope you find a solution where everyone wins

that is a tough call - i went through the same thing but some parents just don't seem to do anything to conquer the problem . first off -how can you be sure who has lice ? have you personally inspected their heads ? i dont think you have to go as far a not letting them play together- just make sure that your children understand that they cannot share combs, hats or hair accessories (if you have girls) and absolutely no sleep overs.what will u do when school starts?you cant protect them from everyone-just educate them.if u have girls keep their hair tightly braided (it lessens the chance of lice getting in)

Hey if the kids' parents aren't taking care of their lice problem, then you have no choice andI wouldn't worry about hurting their feelings (the parents'). Maybe they will get the hint! You could be a good steward and do the kid's heads while they are at your house but they might just get them again when they go home. My husband's parents did that once to their friends. There parents never took care of them and everyone knew it so when they came over my mother in law mom did their heads for them. I thought that was very kind of her but nowadays might get you into trouble I guess.

No, I don't think it's wrong at all. The other parents should know not to send their kids out to play with others until they're completely lice free. That's common sense. Those are nasty little things to get rid of and so easy to spread so the other parents should be understanding if you don't want your children playing with theirs.

No you are not wrong and no it is not mean. It's wrong for parents who know their child has lice allowing them to play with other children who don't.

to get rid of those lil pests the finished dwelling house ( on your case residences) could be dealt with. and then repeated in some days. it purely takes lacking one mattress settee or motor vehicle seat to get them began back. you besides mght could touch the college and enable them to comprehend its been getting into the college. its the mummy and dad that don't comprehend each and every thing that must be dealt with that keeps the subject going.. its such as you are able to leave no stone unturned. all bedding, clothing, hair brushes, crammed toys, even carpet if the youngsters lay on it plenty... maximum persons forget to handle the autos.. in basic terms keeping the youngsters away won't artwork. your infants would be with them in school besides..
