because they have specailly designed wings and feathers, while flapping in the air, there wings creae thrust, and lift, thus making them able to fly

they are adapted to flight....feather covered wings, hollow bones to make them lightweight, no heavy jaw and teeth, only a lightweight beak, a specialized respiration and circulatory system to allow for lots of energy used in flight.
