I have read many books on the life of Newton, and yet only recently discovered that he, himself thought that his work in Bible study, reading and code deciphering was more important than all that he did in Science. That's saying a lot, seeing as many (including myself) consider him to be the father of the Scientific Method; the foundational corner stone of ALL science today. What codes did he uncover and put to the written page? He spent the better part of 50 years studying the Bible. It would seem that those writings of most concern to us today, would be those which reveal the fate of the present fiasco going on in the Middle East. Grab a hot cup of your favorite beverage and read this: its time to sober up..... the year is 2006. Perhaps you, as have I, have been kept in the dark far too long. You won't get THIS from your Sun day worship service, your pastor, or your priest. http://www.triumphpro.com/2006,_bible_codes,_newton.htm

Maybe I am reaching here but PERHAPS his work in Science is a little more important than his personal religious view points and or studies.
I don't know, I would like to think that I was remember for what I did not what my take on religion was.
I can not help but point out that part of the reason that things are the way they are in the Middle East, since you felt a need to bring it up, is that everyone is spending too much time mulling over and discussing religion.
Maybe we should all just keep our personal take on religion to ourselves and the Fate of the present fiasco in the Middle East will level out and become peaceful.

So Newton was a Christian..big whoop. So was Galileo who was tortured by the church, does that mean all Churches are evil? Also Newton did not die as a well liked Christian..he was frowned upon by the Vatican.
Also I have never, ever, ever, seen anything that has said all scientists are atheists. Scientists are much more involved with God than any clergyman since scientists actually STUDY the world and how it works, gaining insight into how God does things instead of forming a society, likethe church, that likes to molest children and claim people have to believe everything they say on faith only.

He was also a nut case, which often happens with brilliance.
Dont need to read your deal there, there are no secret codes in the bible. Geeezzzz, have to use Newton to bolster religion? What have we come to. Hey maybe Galileo next? I mean he was found guilty of heresy for daring to say the earth revolved around the sun.

No, yet Isaac Newton replaced into additionally as loony as a bat. it extremely is the authentic spectacular thing approximately technology: It has no longer something to do with who originates it, in elementary terms with the care that they put in the paintings that they contemporary. it is likewise why technology isn't according to idol worship, something many creationists fail to entice close. For all technology cares, a scientist could be a transexual heroin-addicted lycantrope. All that concerns is the same old of the paintings they contemporary and how it stands as much as purpose scrutiny.

All newton said was that gravity exists, and pulls things. He did not know what it was, or how it worked. The thing is, he was not that important, as you could not even call that science. Why don't Christians bring up the fact that Hitler was a christian. And talk about the inquisitions, etc?

It always makes me feel good to see people that learn that science and spirituality are two sides of the same coin. The deeper you believe in one, the closer you get to the other. Which leads me to believe that all paths to searching for the truth end in the same place. - eventually.
Ok, now I'll go to that site you posted, I just had to say that

Well, I did. Did you find out why he studied the Bible so much? He wanted to find the secrets of Alchemy. He thought that it was between the miracles noted in the pages, not exactly the most devout pursuit. Rather occultish, don't you think?

Because his christianity didn't have anything to do with his scientific acheivements.
He's a great scientist who happened to be christian.
He didn't become a great scientist because he was christian, so stop trying to give christianity credit that it doesn't deserve.
Oh, and we remember him for his scientific achiements because they actually DID SOMETHING.
His christianity didn't make any impact on the world.
but good luck with your propaganda campaign.
