From the beginning of the Christiandom there has been suffering. First,Christians were stoned by the Jews, put in stadiums to be slaughtered by wild animals for the Romans, and covered in tar and burned as torches at Nero's garden parties. That is not a complete list of the tortuous things Christians have endured. If you knew what has been done to Christians through the years you would be shocked.

What religion are you?? You say that Christians aren't persecuted, well, look at what Rome did to anyone who believed differently then they did. It wasn't just the jews that got killed or tortured for their beliefs.
As far as the holocaust, it wasn't only jews that were in the concentration camps. Yes it was the majority, but anyone who didn't fit Hitlers idea of a perfect person was sent to them, or killed on the spot. That included christians. If you didn't have blonde hair, blue eyes, or had a skill he could use, you were either taken in the middle of the night, you disappeared without anyone knowing where you went, or you were sent to concentration camps.
As far as slaves go, I seem to recall that the blacks were treated horrible in this country. They were taken from their homes, beat, tortured, raped and killed just because the color of their skin. It wasn't just the slaves in this time period. It was anyone that didn't believe the same as the plantation owners.
As far as christians suffering. We have. Look at europe the time of King Henry VIII. He would kill anyone who wouldn't conform to the church of england. He even had his wives killed because they wouldn't conform to what he thought. He had priests killed how told him that he was wrong.
About 200 years ago, a christian sect was persecuted and killed for their beliefs. They were tortured, killed, tarred and feathered, their homes were burned to the ground, an extermination order was given by order of the governer which made it legal to kill anyone someone thought was this faith. They were raped, made into slaves, kicked out of every home they had just because someone didn't agree with what they believed. They walked over 2,000 miles, most of them either barefooted, or with very poor foot protection, to a place where they could feel safe. Many died on the way- including many children. They had typhoid fever, many died from that. Some were lost on the way and ended up stranded until others that were sent out found them. It was a huge ordeal. Then their leader was killed by his neighbors, arrested for something he didn't do and then executed, along with his brother, by a mob of men who were bent on murder. If that isn't pursecution, I don't know what is.

Roman Empire??
Slaves- yeah, I know that happened... Ashes as mulch?? When did that happen... and what could "we" have done about it?
Not being rude, but I'm a little lost... Yeah, I'm aware of the Holocaust, but... um, the US (a Christian nation) DID fight Hitler on that one. My own grandfather was in a German POW camp for 2 years!!
Here's a suggestion- try studying the history of the "Mormon" church. Sure, we haven't been around very long, but in almost 200 years, we've gotten a lot of crap from others.... and still do... (btw- yes, we are Christian, as well...)
Don't feel so picked on... Paul said that he would gladly take persecution in the name of Jesus...
"What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.."

You haven't studied your history. Christians were thrown to the lions by the Roman emperors in the first few years after Christ. 10 out of the 12 original apostles died at the hands of torturers instead of denying Jesus is the Son of God (Judas hanged himself and Peter died of old age). There are Christians around the world today who are regularly persecuted for their beliefs. It is illegal in many muslim countries today to be a Christian. The penalty is death.
We will be persecuted again on a large scale before Jesus returns. The antichrist will see that happens so your desires will be fulfilled. That's okay though, because "Whatever you have done for the least of these brothers of mine, you have done for me." (Matthew 25:40 NIV).
I would check out Jesus if I were you. This world is only temporary but the afterlife is eternal!

Christians are beat down everyday for our beliefs. ever heard of martyrs. they're being killed everyday, tortured, made to suffer. it's not just a time period that's gonna pass. the Bible says that we will be hated for our faith in Jesus Christ. we will be tortured, killed, and made to suffer until the end of days, which is coming sooner than people like to believe. you make it sound like we have it so easy in the world when we're beaten down just as much as any other religion. there's a spiritual battle going on and you're fighting in it whether you know it or not. it's been our time to suffer, it will be our time to suffer until we go Home. and i don't remember anything about ashes sold as mulch. ashes wouldn't make good mulch anyway, there would be no nutrients.

I can't tell from your question whether you're dreading this possibility or looking forward to it.
I will say that a group which constitutes some three-quarters of the population of the United States, and which casts the deciding votes in nearly all its elections, cannot credibly describe itself as a persecuted minority. However, it's true that non-Christians are beginning to make themselves heard -- and to insist on their constitutional rights -- and this may be making some Christians feel a bit uncomfortable.

I believe that this already happened in the first centuries after Christ's Death. Then again under Papal Authority during the inquistion or any time that a group decided to challenge the authority of Rome.
So yeah it has already happened. This is a really bad question.

melvin spelled mulch better! Don't worry two much about the Christians getting their come uppances. They abuse themselves almost as much as they abuse others. Check the history of the Catholics and the protestants. They regularly tortured each other, made bonfires out of each other, tried their best to exterminate each other and are due to repeat the cycle all over again. Especially in the USA, whre the fundamentalist radical sects have shown such strong growth and are usurping the legislative process.

I dont think so. I am atheist, and I wouldnt want to become like these evil religeous people. 'Kill' them with reason and kindness maybe.
Pluss I dont think ALL christians were that bad, just most. People that were labeled christian done plenty good also.
I am also part native american. My life could have been much better or worse one way or the other.
And if christians ever experienced the things you mention, they will just call it the Great Tribulation, it wont teach them anything.
I do HATE the attrocities commited by religeous people.
