You can, but, since you've become habituated to eating meat, your mind tells you that you HAVE to have it.
You don't.. But, if you cut down on the amount, you can cut down to every other day, or something of that nature, and it's much healthier for you.

A person can survive without meat everyday. There are vegatarians all over the place. If youre saying that you need to eat meat, it may simply that your body needs it. I tend to crave things like salt and tomates. It is just your body saying hey I need some more good stuff.
