Any coffee by itself, black, can contribute to your ability to retain or gain weight. If you add rich cream and sugar the contribution is going to show up in more pounds.

Aside from the cream and sugar, coffee is acid. As long as your body is acidic it will work to store fat and be resistant to weight loss.

I have been a "big" coffee drinker all my life. If you have the right amounts of alkaline foods and water with, the proper Ph, you can have coffee in moderation from time to time. Any more, I may go weeks without any coffee.

The change in my food intake, including less acid food and drink, watching carbs, calories and body Ph balance and plenty of good water; has contributed to a loss of 60 pounds with no formal physical program.

More important I know how to maintain any target weight.

The other trick they don't tell you is that you need to keep your consumption of good fats (no bad fats) near the highest recommended level. I find that I require a little more good fat than experts suggest for easy weight reduction.

Finally, acid is acid. So when I do drink coffee I prep the strongest and best espresso beans. If you are going to put a little acid in your system you might as well get the best buzz for your money.

Try the darker Folger's blends. You'll use less coffee, and save money. With that saved money, you can buy some New Balance walking shoes. You can walk off your coffee buzz, and burn calories. Your coffee will then make you skinny.

Too much coffee can hinder weight loss. It effects the insulin level. I couldn't lose weight till I cut down to 1 to 2 cups per day.

No kind of coffee makes you fat......it's the sugar and fats you add to it that add up over time.
Go sugar free and low fat, watch those flavored liquids......loaded with sugar!
