No, the Romans.

No, the ROMANS killed Jesus! The Pharisees allowed it and encouraged it because Jesus threatened their way of life, but it was not the average Jewish person that killed Jesus. Many of the Jews present were appalled at the treatment of Jesus. This age old question has led to so much violence and hatred!! Just read the book! Jesus was a Jew!!!

Peace be with you...

No, the Roman authorities, with Pontius Pilate at the top of the command structure, killed Jesus.

Some Jews (certainly not all) bear culpability as accomplices, for is was members of the Sanhedrin - the body comprised of Jewish religious leaders that had some measure of self-rule from the Romans - who accused him of crimes against the state and who handed Jesus over to Pilate.

To suggest, as people (especially some Europeans) through the centuries have, that all Jews are to be blamed for the death of Christ is preposterous. Theologically speaking, we sinners killed Jesus; it is our sin that necessitated his blood sacrifice on the cross.

Hmmm... didn't you notice the 180 questions just like this one? And I'm sure that if you changed the wording just a little bit.. there would be a whole lot more of them...

No, Jews did not kill Jesus. They took him to the Romans for trial and he was crucified by Romans...

Did Jews set it up for Jesus to die? yes...

did the Romans KILL Jesus? No...

Jesus has power over life and death, HE GAVE UP HIS LIFE willingly as a sacrifice for our sins...

He took up his life again when he resurrected.

The Jews condemned Jesus, the Romans crucified Him

No, everyone did, you did, I did and my mother did because everyone sins. Jesus was not powerless at the hands of human beings, He was God on earth, lived a perfect, sinless life and sacrificed Himself to pay our penalty!

Pray this prayer to be saved:

"Heavenly Father, I know I am a sinner. Forgive me for my sin. Today I turn away from my sin and don't want to do it any more. I accept Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for my sin. Jesus, come into my life as my Lord and Saviour. I want to follow You now. In Jesus' name, amen."

Read the Book of John (the one after Luke) in the Bible. Find a Bible-believing church and attend often.

God Bless!

Jesus could have escaped the crucifiction, but he chose not to. That's what is important here, not who did the act. However to answer your question, although certain Jewish leaders had a hand in it, it was performed by the Romans. The crucifiction had to occur so that Jesus could then be resurrected.

The Jews offered him up but the Romans had a hand in it, too

Yeah, yeah, yeah; the Jews killed Jesus - as a fulfillment of prophesy. Someone had to do it. Blah, blah, blah.
What's your real question?

No. The romans soldiers did it.

Here's the link to someone who listed the biblical account though, which can explain better the apparent confusion.....

No, they tried to get him killed by the Roman pagans, but they could not. God elevated him to the sky and saved him, peace be upon him.
