right now my hair is a bit longer than shoulder length , dirty/dusky blonde and straight as a needle. this is all natural, i have never had anything done t it other than cut. i have side bangs too, but i usually put them up in a ponytail. the other thing is i barely EVER use product at all. only on special ocassions. i want my hair to look edgier. i also want it to be a little bit darker, but i don't want to dye it. my face is somewhere between a heart and a round shape and i really want to find the perfect cut for it. please help.

what if you put layers in it to give it more shape? then try some of many "surf" sprays out on the market to give it a funky edge. i bet it will look great no matter what, i would love to have straight hair.

If you want your hair to look edgier, I would suggest getting a layered cut. A layered cut can give you dimension and movement. However, don't get it cut with a razor if you have really straight, flat hair, because that can make it flatter!! I suggest using a light mousse for your hair if you wear it down. All you have to do is put a golf ball size of thickening mousse on your roots when your hair is wet and blow dry. You will get lift and it takes only like 1 extra minute to do your hair. Side bangs are in and they are really cute. The thing about getting darker hair is that you have to re-dye the roots every few weeks and that can get expensive! Good luck!

Your hair color seems great so dont mess with the color. Get a choppy cut that is about mid-neck to chin length, this will emphasize your straight hair. I have the same face shape and I have right side bangs that go to my nose. I think that this will be a very good and edgy-but not too overlydone hair style for you.

I think u should go 4 Lo lights (black or dark brown, maybe red) it will give it a darker look w/ out dying all of it. Then u should either curl it leaving ur bangs down or use mousse for a thicker appearance. Very easy steps u can use w/ out goin overboard.

first step, find a stylist who consults with you before they start whacking!! mine is great!! he cut layers, much shorter ones at the top, and tapered it at the bottom, then we put 2 different colors of highlights in.
it is very important that the stylist consults with you so you can both discuss the options and find a distinctive hairstyle that frames your face and makes your features really stand out.
i would reccomend highlights if you really want to make a statement, go for a darker coler allover, then get a light blonde highlight and a medium highlight. two colors really makes them stand out!

I love the 'Run, Lola, Run' look. Blonde with just the ends (4" or so) dipped in crazy red! It would be cool and very unusual!
