Ignorance is cured by the application of Knowledge. Of course one may remain ignorant of something else, so can it ever be conquered entirely? I think the answer you want is that ignorance should serve as a goad to learn. It is the *attitude* of accepting ignorance which should be conquered; the idea that it is okay to stop learning, which must be eradicated to have a healthy mind.

Well, I would need to know if it is someone else's ignorance you are talking about or yours.....If it is someone else's, maybe you could help them out. If it is yours, do some research, learn what you can, look up things you are interested in or what you want to be able to talk about...The internet is a very good source of information, even education...Now, if it is you, why would you think you are ignorant? In what capacity? Some of us, who feel they don't have all the right answers, haven't been asked all the right questions.

If you mean "Ignore" from the french word not to know, combatting that is done with education and the facts.
If you mean ignorance being rude, that is not so easy. That is more a character trait in the other person and all the education in the world won't help that if they still want to be rude.
