Well probably its how they hear it being told to them. I mean yes by technicality we are members of the taxadermic Kingdom Animalia...so we are animals. I guess however if you call someone an "animal" its like saying he or she is a barbaric inhuman cretin or something to that effect.
If your talking about them fundamentalists again...I dont know cause I aint one of them

Because if you admit that humans are animals, then you cannot differentiate or discriminate between humans. Slavery and Nazism depended on the ability to dehumanize, otherwise christians slavers wouldn't have been able to say blacks were "worth 3/5ths of a white man" nor the christian Nazis call the jews "untermenschen".

I remember having this argument with someone on the Yahoo News Message boards. Pretty funny. Humans are classified as animals, whether people want to admit it or not.

Because humans have something most animals don't. It's called arrogance. They don't want to think of themselves as part of the animal kingdom because they think animals are below us. I believe humans are animals. Three types of organisms are animal mineral and vegetable. We are not mineral or vegetable. Blessed be.

Sth walking on 4 and mostly doesn't have an intelligent Brain like humans'
I think humans are diff enogh from animals that they disrve to be given their own kingdom
God created us better than animals , so why are we insisting that we are not ?

Because we are able to do one thing that animals are not capable of doing, we have the ability to reason or choose. Animals have instinct but we can think a thing through.

Because they prefer to believe that God has given them dominion over earth.
It lets them continue to slaughter animals and cut down trees, mine petrol, etc. while letting them sleep at night by saying 'God wants this'.
It's egotism and a sense of superiority. And it will kill us all in the end.
