I hardly sleep and now I am very keen on sleeping quickly have you got any ideas?

Oh and breathe on your heartbeats
4 heartbeats inhale
4 heartbeats exhale
do this for times and then hold still
for 4 hearttbeats
repeat till you sleep

look at your diet
the more salty your diet is the lower the quality of your sleep is.
Try go to sleep after a salt bath LOL!
You'll be up all night, Salt is a great keep you upper!
After all salt is a chemical...

at 16.00-17.00hrs 1 cup of tomato juice
+2 teaspoons of natural sugar
+ 1 pinch of nutmeg
eat at 18.00-19-00 (not too salt..;-)
If you don't sleep like a log then
go see the doctor.
Insomnia is a disease...

I found another one
Fold your legs into lotus or meditation position
to open your groins
and put two tennisballs in a sock and put them on your pillow and lay them in the back of your neck
hold still for 10 mintues and all the nervoussytem movement in your body will be stopped by the tennisballs.
Put away the ball stretch your legs and you'll fall asleep.
it will improve the quality of yoursellp significantly

here are the things I know that'l help you to sleep right a way... Drink hot milk when about to sleep... You should not sleep during afternoon, you may but don't over sleep, that will bother you at night... Wear comfy clothes... Your bed should be comforting... You cannot sleep when something's bothering you... Read a boring pocketbook or watch a boring show... Hear mellow music... Lie in bed, close your eyes, then count till you fell asleep... Do your hatest work... Watch the pendulum swing... Don't over move when in bed, you will be enegized by that. When bed time is near, avoid doing heavy activities like exercise... Some people easily fell asleep when their full, others don't. AMEN.

There are lot of medicines to make u sleep quickly.. u can try Valium, but u need prescription for that.. u can try drinking beer, or cough syrup etc.. but it's not good to depend on these things for sleeping The best thing is do a lot of exercise in the evening and it will make u fall asleep as soon as u get onto ur bed. Follow proper sleeping habits.. eat well, drink lot of water, exercise regularly, stay cheerful, use ur day time to take care of ur worries/ problems and spend the evening relaxedly and pampering urself.. sleep early. If you follow all these things, very soon u will start falling asleep easily.

Exercise. Get full body exercise: swim, swing, walk at least a mile, do something for the heart at least once a day. You'll be tuckered out if you do it forty-five minutes per day. Try early in the morning or sometime in the evening, no later than three hours before you intend to sleep.

If you're anxious or something, try not thinking about things. Just relax, breathe deeply, let your mind wander the way it does as you're about to fall asleep. You know what I mean, the way it does when you're thinking but it's not about daily stuff anymore, more about mixed up sleep-dream stuff. Sweet dreams.

Drink Valerian tea. It will make you fall asleep fast and you will sleep really good for at least 4 hours.

Also, sometimes people can't sleep because they aren't getting enough magnesium so I would suggest a supplement of Magnesium. 3x magnesium with 1x calcium. so 3 times as much magnesium as you have of calcium acts like a natural tranquilizer.

Exercise will make you sleep better too. even if it's only 15 minutes. Also, if you are deficient in potassium or eat too much sodium this can affect your sleep too. potassium like a banana sometimes will help you fall asleep. apples. Good luck!

sleeping quickly? Sleep is something you do slowly, to do it properly it takes 6 to 8 hours!

Get some regular exercise during the day.
Make your room comfortable: warm; soft lighting; low, soft music.
Drink some warm fluids before you go to bed.
Take a moment to unwind before you go to bed.
Give to your spouse and children if you have any.
Develop a regular routine and be prepared to let it "set".

Good exercise less TV and Net, good adequate food at dinner and a quiet peaceful dark environment when in bed. prior to jumping in bed close eyes and meditate for10 min.
