If I understand the question correctly, Christianity is currently the largest religion in the world, with about 33% of all people being adherents However, if current trends continue, Islam will become the most popular world religion sometime in the mid-21st century.

(but secular/non-religious is about 1.1 billion, and is growing faster than any other group)
