The only problem with your suggestion is that it implies that we all have the same idea of what a good life is. We can all agree that murder is bad, but what about other issues? I could say that my idea of a good life is one where women are allowed to have abortions. Meanwhile, some would say that abortion is bad, resulting in conflict between the 2 religions. Also, what if my idea of a good life included being free of nonbelievers? There would certainly be some tension with me and aetheists.
My point is that in theory the idea makes sense, but in reality it is impossible.

Hey I agree with you religion bashing is wrong. to state your opinion or the opinion of God with backup of His words is one thing but to bash and hate goes against the grain of God Himself. If I don't agree with some other religion I state why and where I got the knowledge and leave it for others to discern. Like I do not agree with the Muslims when they call for a Holy Jihad or to go to war against those who do not believe the same as them. Thid does not go for all muslims.I do not agree with the m ormos for they treach God is in heaven with a wife making baby spirits and that makes God not only a sinner but an adulterer. Just because they believe in paligamy does not make it right and definetly not right to consider God to be a paligamist or adulterer. The first I learned from watching news and listening to my pastor the second I learned first hand when I considered becoming a mormon and I was given a book I should not have had until I had been indoctrined into the church for at least 5 years.

I agree and that would be nice but people are not wired that way. People are taught by religions that if someone isn't a member of the faith then they are going to hell so people feel the need to attack the outside to try to force them into the faith "for the good of their soul"
Maybe religions should teach living a good life, living without guile, and respect for the infinite paths to God.

Most people don't bash religions -- unless they are provoked by bible thumpers who love to tell them they are going to hell and to scare them into church so that they can get $$$ for the rest of the person's life. Not everybody wants to believe in a book full of myths and fables that have never been (and cannot be) proved.
So, when people start cramming their religion in another person's face -- regardless of the religion and its claims -- that's when people have the right to state their own opinions and to tell the fanatics to back off and respect another person's right to privacy.

If there was a religion who's people did that, it would be OK (something to entertain the weak minded). But don't come after me with it.

So long as you include the qualifier that the religion does not attempt to force or coerce others to adopt its beliefs.
Bible thumping Christian organizations do not meet that test, so invite opposition.
