The walls are light brown.We are planning on painting the moldings white since we have crown molding and baseboards are painted white.

Most definitely white! And I recommend at least a semi-gloss paint too. It will really make the crown molding and trim stand out, since it should be an asset to you room.

I would say definitely white! I agree with the Semi Gloss too, it gives it a really classy sheen. If you just paint it the wall color, the molding will just blend right in. Good luck!

Most definately white or wood color. I painted a door and trim once because I couldn't decide and it looked ridiculous!

keep door and trim white....if you paint it brown, it will look very strange. I have a red room, and I kept my trim, and doors white. It looks awesome...its a great contrast!

You definitely need to pain the door and trim white! I think a brown door & trim would look gross. (unless it was stained wood---that looks nice in any room.)
