I have been taking iron suplements, and eating all the right foods - spinach, broccoli, dried friuts and extra vitamin C to aid the iron absorption process. My levels are still going down. I need some real help fast. The doctor can't see me for a couple weeks, and I was hoping there was something I could do in the meantime. I am open to herbal remedies - anything that will help.

Take iron supplements for a few months...that's what I did to raise mine some years ago.
Cheers!
P.S. Re: your added information; there could be an outside chance you have pernicious anemia or something similar. It results in a deficiency of B-12 due to the stomach's inability to make a certain necessary factor; B-12 is necessary to the formation of red blood cells. A shot of B-12 might help in the short run but you should have a full range of blood tests to determine why your hematocrit isn't going up the way it should. I hope this helps!
