1. The existence of a Supreme Being is unknown and unknowable.
To believe in the existence of a god is an act of faith. To believe in the nonexistence of a god is likewise an act of faith. There is no evidence that there is a Supreme Being nor is there evidence there is not a Supreme Being. Faith is not knowledge. We can only state with assurance that we do not know.
2. If there is a Supreme Being, then that being appears to act as if apathetic to events in our universe.
All events in our Universe, including its creation, can be explained with or without the existence of a Supreme Being. Thus, if there is indeed a God, then that god has had no more impact than no god at all. To all appearances, any purported Supreme Being is indifferent to our Universe and to its inhabitants.
3. We are apathetic to the existence or nonexistence of a Supreme Being.
If there is a God, and that God does not appear to care, then there is no reason to care about the needs of that Supreme Being.

This is a well-thought out argument. Kudos.
The only real problem I have with it is the lack of acknowledgement of free-will. If one is a believer in the Judeo-Christian God, one has to accept the responsibilities and consequences of free will. Failure to embrace and accept this tenet will lead to apathy regarding God.
Peace be with you.

Faith without knowledge is not faith but foolishness,
Read the Hygene laws given to the Isrealites;
Who knew about germs in those days? Nobody! Why do you think they increase when the nations around them didn't?
They didn't die of diseases. Read the Laws in Deutronomy.23:12,13
Told not to go to the tiolet or however in the camp or the water.
People in those days did both. Disease ran rampant.
Isaiah 40:22 God sits above the circle of the earth
Job 25:7 He hangs the earth upon nothing.
Who knew, they thought the world was flat. Carried on the back of a God. I won't even go into the fulfilled prophecys.
In Daniel about the world powers that he said would come after him and did. They all happened just as Daniel said they would only some were future. Such as Daniel 2:44 When you go down in the streem of time it brings you to USA as the last world power. Saying it was a duel world power we are With the UK
"In the days of those kings the god of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. It will crush and put an end to all theses kingdoms and it it's self will stand even forever.

No. At best your argument is faulty. How do you know for a certainty that the things surrounding you that are so easily explained by science are Not the work of this God? Have you proven that God can't be experienced? Without proof of these kinds of things it's foolish to assume that your conclusions are truth.

Evolution is just as based upon faith. Where did the first molecule and DNA strand come from? How did life start? If something is scientific we can recreate it but can you recreate the big bang? It's so annoying when evolutionist try to downplay creationism because they are so stuck up and they call every theory they have truth or something.

Are you nutz, do you live in this world? DO you see the propehecy in front of you. You probably don't, because atheism is ignorance to seeking the truth. Why do you think their are billions of people who believe in God. I hate to see even one more left out, I will pray for you my friend to open your eyes and and that you may pick up a Bible, I don't care which one, but pick up a Bible and just read. You will be amazed on what is true. As far as this time now, READ THE BOOK OF DANIEL, where about to be in the tribulation.. don't be left behind. dude.

If there is God.He is all forgiving . if one atones or his life sins. if not a God then it can't hurt to beleive in something the actualy teaches love and respect to the world and others. But if and when you meet God to be judged. And you atone your sins in front of him.Perhaps it is then you will be forgiven. in the bible it says.judge not lest ye be judged. It's a matter of preference to each individual person. To have faith in one way or the other.WILLIEGOGO:

Indifferent... Hummmm That isn't my experience at all. I have had some very beautiful spiritual experiences. I have turned and avoided trouble time and time again. I am sorry you are feeling so separated from the Lord. Maybe that's because you won't allow Him to work in your life....Jim

He shows you the proof personally AFTER you have faith in Him (Matthew 18:3-5). Why should the Creator of the entire universe, your creator, prove himself to you and me?
