Any software will only give you virtually no improvement. If you have some bucks, get the following: new fastest motherboard with SATA interfaces and at least 1 GB of memory, 2 GB is better. Use XP Professional version. Get the fastest read speed SATA CD/DVD drive and fastest average seek time/data transfer speed in MB/sec hard disk. Dedicate this computer for copying CDs only. Do not install any other applications or drivers for hardware not connected/installed on this computer. Only run the copy software (no other software that comes with XP). In your CMOS setting, disable all devices you do not use, i.e. IDE, USB, Serial/Parallel port, ethernet, IEEE1394, etc.
Good luck.

You may be able to do something. Stop all the programs that you can afford to stop: anti-virus monitoring, Google desktop, Yahoo widgets, firefox or explorer... everything but your firewall. This will allow more CPU resources to go the the audio software. (Be sure to restart them all when you are done ripping!)
If you used Windows Media Player, rip with WMA, not WMA Pro. Pro is great but takes a long, long time.
You can also lower the quality of your ripped CDs. You can do this through the options in your audio software. It will be faster, but it won't sound as good.
Other than that, make sure your software is set to automatically rip when you put a CD in. You can hopefully minimize your time involved... you put it in, you close it, it opens, you switch CDs.
Good luck.

Actually, it's not a software problem, it's a hardware problem.. it depends on the amount of ram as to how fast your drive will copy. if you have a small amount of ram, it takes longer to copy because the ram is doing a lot of work. If you have a larger amount, say 1 gig, as opposed to 512 or 256mb, the drive will work at it's optimum speed and have to do less searching between writes.

The DVD-force on your pc will play CD-roms besides as DVD's. the in hardship-free words reason that is called a DVD-force is because that is able to playing CD's AND DVD's. i have purely checked the specs of your pc on line, and that is totally unclear that it would not play familiar installation CD-rom discs! purely insert the disc as known and that is going to take you with the aid of the steps.
