Well... i've always been brought up being a Christian, went to church every sunday, got Christened etc...well lately in my R.E classes we've been focusing on the religion Budhism, and as we have been learning their rules i have started to follow them as i believe that they are true, and now im starting to doubt that there is a God... but i still believe there was a Jesus, and my parents can't accept the fact that i may want to become a Buddhist rather than a Christian... what do i do?

There's nothing wrong with being 'no religion' or saying 'I am no religion at the moment as I'm exploring other faiths and want to find what's best for me'.
I've read and studied a lot about Buddhism. I respect it very much. I'm currently reading a lot about Taoism, which seems remarkably similar to me. I have no religion and no belief in God, but I'm still interested in different ideas. It seems to me that, even if there may be no 'global truth', you can find an 'individual truth' for yourself.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with what you're doing. Experiment and give yourself time for the ideas to 'sink in'. We don't really 'consciously' decide what to believe - so if you find yourself attracted to Buddhism, maybe it means you were 'meant' to be Buddhist.
If I were you, I'd tell my parents that I just want to explore diffewrent ideas and that there's every chance that I might come back to Christianity - but if I do, I'll have done it as a conscious choice, so it will be better and healthier for me.
That should buy you time and get them off your back! :)
I can be contacted via my avatar, and I'd be happy to help you if you have any further questions.

If you still believe that Jesus existed, then you still believe in God because Jesus came as God in the flesh.
Even though I am a Christian, I still say don't let your parents force you to do what they want because you need to develop your own convictions but I would suggest studying out different beliefs before deciding that one is right over another.

You opened your mind. That's good. But don't close it to God. I too am a Christian with definite buddhist leanings. I just figure that God is bigger than ANY religion. Then it becomes a fun exploration of the various facets of God. Enjoy the ride. Remember, buddhists don't have all of the truth, either. Everything connects, one way or another. Just keep your eyes open, too.

it does sound like you have made up your mind which religion is closest to your own thoughts .. and yes it does sound like that would be Buddhism
i take it you are still in school and living at home , and as such I'm afraid that you are still going to have to abide by rules at home
however i don't feel this is right personally as i would allow my children to follow their hearts on what is right to them .. but i am not your parent
but think about it this way .. in a few years you will be ready to be an independent woman with a mind of your own and as such you can take on whichever religion you wish to .. and although that may seem ages away , it isn't
so hang on for now .. do some more study into Buddhism , and when it is time to branch out on your own , you will have all that knowledge to help you make that decision
love to you xx

DON'T become one of them, it's a false religion and opposed by God, the same as all the other religions, there is only one and that's comes from the Bible, Jesus taught this. There are only about 4 to 5 million people who have this 'truth' I am teaching 2 people on line about this truth and believe me, it's both wonderful and frightening.

whatever you do, do it SLOWLY. Make sure you take years to figure out your religion. What was said of the Vietnam War is also true here: "anyone who isn't confused doesn't understand the situation".
My path, for reference: nothing -> enquirer -> convert -> seriously evangelical Christian god-bothering door knocking the full works -> enquirer -> atheist. And that's where I am now.
What I believe about goodness:
- we all depend on each other
- we all depend on the world around us
and that should tell us enough to determine the difference between good and evil. I think both Jesus and Buddha had similar angles, but that wasn't all they said.

Religion can be scary. So much of religion is warped. I would just make sure that you have the Lord in your life. Your personal relationship with the Lord is more important than which church you go to. The church that I go to doesn't have a priest or any kind of heirarchy. We don't idolize any person, or listen to any one person lecture us and tell us how to enjoy the Lord. We are all able to share on the Lord's Day and enjoy the Lord how we want to. The most important thing is that you have a strong personal relationship with Christ. Good Luck, and let me know if you want to talk.

Eh, wait till you're an adult to worry about it.
In the meantime, admit to yourself, that the teachings in the Bible, whether you believe them to be literal or figurative stories with morals, can only benefit someone, especially as they grow into an adult.
If you wish to doubt the existence of God, so be it, just remember, Buddhism does not concern itself with the end of time here on Earth, where as Christianity does.
It would be a shame if God really did exist and you did goto Hell, because you were too busy 'making up your mind.'
A general rule of thumb: Christianity is not popular amongst young people because it requires too much patience, dedication, humbleness, selflessness etcetc.

I'm a Christian and I myself have the same question. I even considered joining to Islam in one point when I was working in the middle east. But as I searched myself and what I believed in. It just dawned to me that most have the same 1 true God, and so different cultures have varying way of expressing their faith and have different messengers from God. So my advise is, live your life good, and as long as you dont aggrevate other living beings but otherwise help them as you can, then you are doing good. God appreciates good deeds...

Religion can be very confusing. The main thing to know is, that you are saved by the Grace of God. salvation through the Blood of Jesus is what takes you to Heaven. Not religion.
