me and my sister (ages 24 and 26) want i dog that's good with children,pretty,small ,do not want a white colored dog,that does not need to much grooming.Can anybody tell us what kind of dogs fits that description. price ranging from free to $700.00

Yorkshire terriers are good little dogs. They are smart, loving and loyal and don't take too much grooming. Daily brushing is good for any dog. I had a yorkie for 10 ten years, & the only grooming she ever got was bathing and her nails clipped, & I did that, she liked everyone & played like a pup up until the time she crossed over to Rainbow Bridge. Great little dogs, Yorkies.

I beg to differ a Yorkie requires a great deal of grooming to be taken care of properly and are a little fragile.great dogs but not really meant for small children.
Why not rescue a loving dog from the humane society or a breed rescue,that way you are dining a great and needed service .There are countless dogs just waiting to love you and your family .Why not look there pay the fee ,anywhere from $45,to $125. depending on your city,they are already altered so you don't have to have that done.Why not try an older mature dog who's temperament is already formed and see how it reacts to your family. Please do not buy from pet shops or unscrupulous breeders ,some are fronts for puppy mills .
You need a small to medium size dog that will love playing with the children.Toy breeds are not the best choice for small children,they can be possessive of one person and then become nippy if they think their "chosen"person is being threatened.Although I have a 5lb Chihuahua that loves babies,but she also thinks shes a pit bull so what does she know lol She is very protective and a wonderful friend.
Please consider a rescued animal,open your heart and your home to theses wonderful loving animals ..good luck

Definitely a Shihtzu!!!! They are small dogs, usually no more than 15lbs. They do not shed!!! They have a great temperament and are great with kids. I have grand kids and "Oscar" loves them. They are very lovable and like to cuddle!!! I bought mine from a breeder for $350. You could spend more depending on the blood lines. You will have to have it groomed regularly if you want him to look great. I have mine bathed every two weeks and then groomed every-other two weeks. He looks great and I love him!!!!!!!! Good luck!!!!

Toy poodles - they are very smart and very friendly. They do require a lot of grooming though...
