My mom said that she would promise me that I can pierce my ears in the summer but other people said you might get a ear infection because it's hot. I live in Madison, WI but it's that hot. The highest temp. this week is 83 degrees. Should I do it in the summer or fall? Thanks. By the way I'm in 6th grade.

Summer's good. Fall's good too. Any time's good that you're mature & responsible enough to take care of your piercings. sp

Yes but very rare It is best to get them pierced in the summer when no sports are going on and if you play sport in the summer it will be hard because when you get them pierced you have to leave the same earring in for about 6 weeks and when I got my per iced I had to take them out when I was playing soccer during the game!

Well that's stupid. If you take care of the piercing you won't get an infection despite what time of the year it is. I live in Texas. It's -always- hot and my ears have three piercings, two of which I got after I turned 19. They never got infected despite the fact that it's hot.

Just do it! Clean them with a cutip of alcohol every day and everything will be hunky dory within a couple of weeks. Then you can start changing them..that's when the fun begins! They should be healed up just in time for September if you hurry. Good luck, hon!
