Sometimes yes, sometimes no, it depends on the individual and the circumstances plus it seems a little random sometimes. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Most remember more than they admit to. If they really don't remember, that's a red flag for an inexperienced drinker or a problem drinker or both. And as a good rule of thumb, people who are drunk usually don't do anything that they wouldn't do sober if they felt unrestrained socially.

Got that Mel? Oh, he was just acting, he's an actor, he was acting while drunk the role of his father while sober, that's the ticket. Did his PR people think of that one yet?

Yeah, drunks have any litany of excuses for any amount of bad behavior. But some people don't behave badly, just talk badly when they are drunk, as in lie. When they are drunk they will lie to manipulate with less regard than they might have sober. Of course, this is worse in people that also lie when sober. Same thing goes for people who are verbally and/or physically abusive.

So stay away from drunks & liars & the abusive, especially in combination.

Good luck.

It depends on the amount. Alcoholics especially have what's called black out drunks, where they absolutely remember nothing that happened after a certain point in a drinking binge. In fact, it's one of the symptoms that doctors look for when they evaluate people for alcoholism.

I have only ever blanked out on two occasions. first time i remember leaving the pub, and arriving home in a taxi, yet nothing in between. i was 17 at the time. it is a very scary situation to be in. i dont get into that state nowadays. when i start to feel drunk i stop drinking for a bit, and then top up later.

Yeah, everytime. In last 7 years nearly ı drunk everyday. Not just a glass, at least 6-7 double vodka and some beer or wine. And still remember every second.

I think if you drink enough, you will black out. Typically, if someone is a heavy drinker, as they age the black outs come quicker and more often. Many times it doesn't take as long for a long term drinker to black out as it does for a new drinker. Regardless, if someone blacks out, they've drank far more than they should have. Keep in mind, some people claim to have black out to avoid responsibility for the previous night's actions.

Finally, these rules aren't meant for just "guys" they apply equally to women.
