If there is a creator, then there is but one.

A creator is an undefined God. When you define a God, you define a religion. All religions are faith based, and they all state that. I'm sure that one religion points to the the real God, but....

There are so many different religions because the one God appeared at various times in various countries and since some of us don't believe in reincarnation we thought these Saints were different people when in fact they were all different manifestations of the same entity - God. So, based on different cultures and customs, new religions were born.

Instead of appreciating the diversity in God's creation, we chose to force each other to follow what we thought was the only true religion. That is why the world is now in such a big mess.

Of course, God knew all this was coming. He is just waiting for us to grow up.

While Paul was alive, it was the first time we were called Christians. Catholics broke away from that first sect, with some ideas about paying for salvation and paying money for relatives in purgatory. Luther, got angry at the Catholic Church and nailed his writings on the door of the Church. So Lutherans broke away from the Catholics. Lutherans, however had some similar beliefs as the Catholics, so Calvinists broke away from the Lutheran Church. Calvinists, believe that our road is already planned that we have no choice in what we do, so Anabaptist's broke away from them. The name later changed to Baptists. From the Baptist Church came Southern Baptists, then Pentecostal. Presbyterian is somewhere in the beginning, next to the Lutherans. I believe everyone of these religions, believes in Jesus Christ as our Savior. But there are differences such as baptisms, marriage, loosing salvation, etc. And then there are cults, Mormonism, Jehovah Witnesses etc. These change the Bible to suit their whims and create a new bible. The religions above not cults, may argue over differences, but the main thing we must believe; that Jesus died for us, on the cross, was resurrected on the third day and then ascended into heaven. We believe in the Trinity. And finally we believe in the Rapture, when Jesus will come and take his church with him.

Religion was not created by God. Religion is humanities effort to approach God. As with most things, there are many ways to approach something, especially something that is as complex to human understanding as God.

The reward for the murder of Infidels is 72 Virgins in the Muslim Heaven to be ravished through all eternity...

There are many that do not want to follow what the Bible says so they start another religion so they can take what they want and reject the rest. Others may not like that one so they take what they want and reject the rest and start another. The bible says we will be judged by the Law of Liberty, the Ten Commandments so we will all be judged by the same standard but those that have rejected some or all will still have to face the same standard and be rejected themselves as they have rejected God's Law.

this is where worshipping ur god in ur own way comes into play....regardless of the label u put on "GOD"...if u read the book it says many will come in my name but there is only one god...so when "GOD" created man and the sin was committed in the garden of eden man then had a free will to seek god in his or her own way and since there were many who said they new the correct way to do this became many different religions seeking the one true god ..all it boils down to is different strokes for different folks

NO ONE. so no one really is right or wrong on how to interperate religion.
