I need to find the letter for love in japanese, preferebly not in hiragana.

Since you prefer not in hiragana, then in kanji, it's 愛
You can pretty much translate anything using this link (into many different kinds of language). By the way, 愛 also means love in Chinese! Japanese and Chinese share some common characters!! :)
