to serve the countrymen

You should be truthful in your answer.

There are the usual answers: I love my country
I love my community and want to
serve
I have always wanted to be in law
enforcement.

You should search your heart and mind for a good, decent answer- Why DO you want to be a police officer?

Do you have any anecdotal stories? How did you come to the profession in the first place? Do you have family members in the force? Did you have an encounter with a police officer that was good? Did a police officer help you in some way when you were younger?

Think about your answers- give some thoughtful reflection to how you would answer the interviewers questions.

Good luck.

There is no good answer to this question. I have many family members in law enforcement. The best advice is be honest. Think about what a police officer does and what you like about it. You can also go to LE website forums and see what those already in the field say.

I would say something like:
-I admire and respect the work the force is doing very much and how it is helping the community.
or-I think it would be a great way for me to give back to my community to make it a safer place blablabla

Smooth on the compliments...not too much *** kissing but still trying to charm the work they are doing. They will like it!

don't mean to be funny but why are you asking people what to say .. you are the one who has applied to the police force so you must have a strong reason for doing so or are you just doing it cause that's what alto of your family do

well you could say that you want to serve the country in a good way...or you could say that this is what you like, to help prevent crime and to enforce law and justice...or tell why you really wanna join, if you think its a good answer...

Start with "To help the community" and finish with "quite frankly, I need a job"

In other words, be honest.
At least I hope you are going to be an honest copper!

To crack some heads! :-) Or, you could make some stuff up about upholding the law, or making your city safer, or serving the tax payers... but, we'll all know it's to crack some heads!
