Let say in general you just take photos and print or save digitally. Any digital camera you satisfy with the result now will be good enough. Basically the camera will keep growing. But will you need all that new technology?

A cheap one! Or you could get a pretty good Canon Ixus from eBay for around £50. Just keep the thing on Auto and it'll be fine :)

i gave my Daughter the princess camera at 10yrs old, and it lasted till she was 13 she still has it. it could be any camera as long as the child knows how to use it properly.

try tesco thay have a 6 megapixal cam for £45.00 quid its pretty good,but if u have money then go for the cannon sureshot.
