IF her temp was 103, she has a fever and needs to see a vet!!!!
She may have a dead puppy inside and it can cause a raging infection, and cause the death of the remaining puppies. SHe needs to be seen ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If am always amazed that people can have 2 intact dogs of the opposite sex and be shocked that they breed. It is not like a Shihtzu is that much smaller than a Cocker. You should have been more responsible and they BOTH should have been fixed. I doubt it is that big a shock to your system. You left a intact in heat female with an intact male. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what can happen.

I'd get in touch with the vet and he'll give her a once over and tell you what to expect- so you can get yourself prepared! Wonder what the pups will look like? sounds like a cute combination.
Dr Bruce Fogle says:
'pregnancy in dogs can last for about 2 months- one of the first signs that female dog is pregnant is at about four weeks when her nipples become slightly more pink and prominent, by four to five weeks your vet will be able to feel golf ball size swellings in her abdomen to determine how many pups there are....'
If she is pregnant you need to provide her with a nesting site or a den- under a bed or in an open cupboard where she can feel secure and quiet.
Good luck!

It is okay if you squeezed them. They usually begin to produce milk within a few days before they whelp. It is fine that you checked for milk. I would begin to watcher her very closely. Do you have a whelping box made for her yet? If not, I would suggest that you get one prepared and introduce it to her. Go to this website: http://www.debbiejensen.com/ it offers an abundance of useful information on whelping puppies, what you need to do, and what you will need to have on hand. Chance are that if her temp was 103 then that was her spike and it is probably at it's drop right now! Check her temp again, if it is at 99 or lower then you will probably have puppies within the next 12 hours.

Please don't squeeze the charmin. Sounds like she has a infection somewhere in her body. The scratching could be a clue to where the infection is. Maybe time to call your vet for medicine. You stated her boobs are saggy, when the milk is coming in they will be firm, from being full. Eating and running around says that she is not nesting yet, you will see a change in her behavior when her time is closer, she will be looking and preparing her nesting area that she feels is the safest for her pups. Tagging tales and lots of wet kisses to you.

1. dont squeeze the dogs "boobies". i have asked a friend and they said that sounds like she has a infection somewhere and take the dog to the vet ASAP. if u dont it could cause the dog to have a miscarriage and have problems in labour. its just like humans if dont go to the doctors when have signs of infection then you could be putting risk of unborn baby at risk. so you dog cant talk to you and tell you whats wrong so take it to the vets please and dont put her and her unborn puppies life in danger.
2. she could be ready to give birth to her puppies and i am giving u a website to help prepare for when the puppies come along. .e.g what to do? what to notice?

Dogs usually start have milk one to two weeks before they go into labor from my experience. If she has enough milk to be leaking when pressure is applied say it'll be any day now.
