Depends on your Budget. If you can stretch that far, a BMW 530 definitely lives up to its adage as the ultimate driving machine...its quite roomy and has all the attributes you desire. The 230bhp from the 3.0 V6 is more than adequate, but if you can afford the massive fuel bills and cant really do without V8 power (and do without a stick-shift), stick to the 540....the 550 is overkill. If your budget cant stretch that far, try the new-look Audi A4. You might have to set the seat back to achieve enough legroom, but you'd be making a much smaller comprimise than in the already cramped cabins of the BMW 3-Series and the Mercedes C-Class. The ultimate engine to have is the 255bhp 3.0V6 in the Quattro All-wheel drive trim, but the 2.0 Turbo is a surprisingly sweet engine and even the front wheel drives provide sporty handling if you select the optional sport suspension. Nice critera for selection, by the way...happy shopping!!!

My husband drives a '97 BMW 318ti. Its a 3 door hatchback 5-speed, with a M3 sports package and its a good size inside and out. He's 6'1" and fits fine. The kicker is, he only got it for $5200.00 off of E-bay. No, there was nothing wrong with it and it only had 87,000 miles and one owner. He did a car-fax VIN number check.
So, I would have to say a BMW. Other cars are Honda Accord/Civic (2 door hatchback), anything that is a Toyota (I'm a girl and don't know all the models). Other that that, I don't know. I'm a SUV driver, mother of 4...

The 3rd Gen. Twin Turbo RX-7 is an amazing car. The Rx-7 is fast and beautiful! They have the potential to be even quicker, with only a few mods- you can get over 400+, 500+ hp. Plenty of room for you feet too- in Japan they made an optional backseat that could be placed behind the two main seats, so the stock two seater has plenty of room. I am reluctantly selling mine as I have to pay for school :-( Out of money... If you want to check it out, it's on AutoTrader:

You sound like a BMW 5 person either X-5 SUV? Or 540 sedan. Don't scrimp buy the best condition you can. It is all about image isn't it! I just got a Holden Monaro in the states Pontiac GTO, and I'm 6 foot you would be a tight fit in that car.

Check out the GM Vibe (really!)... 30 miles to the gallon and it's a sharp looking car - http://www.pontiac.com/vibe/index.jsp
I also love the Passat http://www.vw.com/passat but I decided it's time to move back to the American auto makers (we're in a lot of trouble...)

if you can financially afford a bmw or mercedes, then go for them. But the model depends on your personality and also on your finances. My favorite of those two are bmw 5 series and mercedes e-class or even better s-class.
